The Program Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. They manage virtual teams and customer relationships while coordinating internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure successful project implementation.
Position Summary
The Professional Services Program Manager works with clients and partners remotely and/or onsite on engagements of medium and large complexity. Program managers are skilled at getting the best out of the people and projects that they oversee. They thrive when planning projects and working with project teams.
The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring from start to finish - the delivery of low to high/large projects on time and according to the negotiated Scope of Work. The Program Manager's is expected to manage a virtual team comprising; Customer Contacts, Fortinet Sales, Professional Services and Technical Support to ensure a technically sound, financially profitable, supportable implementation. The position requires an individual with exceptional negotiation, written and verbal communication skills who follows a structured approach for implementing IT security solutions.
The Program Manager should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis.
Responsibilities
▪ Builds relationships to understand the needs and requirements of the customer's project.
▪ Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders Develops, negotiates and builds a Scope of Work, WBS and project schedules to match the needs of the project.
▪ Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities - ensures resource availability and allocation in alignment with project plans.
▪ Works closely with all customer-facing Fortinet functions, including sales, operations, order management, support to coordinate activities.
▪ Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
▪ Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
▪ Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
▪ Report and escalate to management as needed
▪ Manage escalations with all levels internally and externally to achieve success.
▪ Perform risk management to minimize project risks
▪ Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
▪ Effectively applies Fortinet's methodology and enforces project standards
▪ Minimizes Fortinet's exposure and risk on projects
▪ Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project
▪ Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization
▪ Assures project legal documents are completed and signed
▪ Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
▪ Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
Job Description
Job Requirements:
▪ Around 15 years’ experience in a Project or Program Management role.
▪ Solid technical background, with understanding of security and internetworking skills.
▪ Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
▪ Outstanding negotiation, oral communication and presentation skills.
▪ Experience working with global enterprise, carrier and governmental customers.
▪ Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. ▪ Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities.
▪ React to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently. ▪ Flexible during times of change.
▪ Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
▪ Excellent conflict resolution skills.
▪ Strong commitment and self-driven individual.
Education
▪ Bachelor's Degree in technical or management discipline and/or equivalent extensive work-related experience.
▪ PMP and/or PRINCE II certification
