You will lead the new Social team to develop and scale community-focused features, with a primary focus on the Live Classes product. This involves setting strategy, managing the business model, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive user engagement and revenue.
TryHackMe is the fastest-growing online cyber security training platform, with a community of more than 9 million learners. We make security skills accessible, hands-on and fun, for individuals and for the businesses that train their teams with us 🥷
Learning cyber security works better with other people. We're forming a new Social team to own everything on TryHackMe that's about community, collaboration and learning together.
The top priority is Live Classes, a cohort based live learning experience. We've already launched an early version and traction has been very strong. Your job is to turn it into a core product feature that delivers a 10 out of 10 experience for learners. You’ll also work on other new social initiatives, organise and run community events through the product, and experiment with existing social features.
You'll work very closely with the Engagement team. Both teams have the same broad goal of increasing user engagement and retention, and you’ll often work together on shared initiatives. You’ll also work with the B2B teams to help drive awareness and adoption of the Business product through Live Classes.
Live Classes: scaling the current concept into a product that is scalable and delivers a 10 out of 10 experience for users. That covers the format, scheduling, instructors, pricing and packaging, the experience during a class, and how classes lead to business adoption.
Study groups: continuing to test how learners can study together, and finding the version that sticks.
Social features: the activity feed, reactions, friend streaks, and other features that make TryHackMe feel like a community.
Social sharing: helping learners share their progress and achievements beyond the platform, so their activity brings in new users.
Events: planning and running our community events alongside the Engagement team, including flagship events like Advent of Cyber.
Run product discovery: talk to learners, instructors and business customers, and study behavioural data to find what makes learners want to take Live Classes.
Set the vision and strategy for Social, with Live Classes at the centre.
Shape the business model for Live Classes (pricing, packaging, how it supports B2B growth) and be accountable for the revenue targets that come with it.
Design and run experiments across various social and engagement initiatives (A/B tests, lightweight concept tests) to learn quickly.
Plan jointly with the Engagement team so the shared goals stay aligned.
Represent Social in roadmap planning and work with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and Content.
