What is the opportunity?

In this role as the Product Manager Payments, you will support the Senior Product Manager – Payments & Ancillary Services in the development, implementation and management of non-card payments projects. You will adopt “Product Owner” role within the Caribbean Banking payments modernization program or any other applicable payments project. You will collaborate with P&CB Operations, Digital Banking, Compliance, Sales, Information Technology, Risk, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Fraud, Payments and Trade, and other functions to increase efficiency, profitability and competitiveness and mitigate product/project risk.  You may also be called upon to represent RBC at industry meetings or Central Bank engagements.   You will ensure product solutions are highly competitive and lead initiatives to drive growth in target client segments.

What will you do?

  • Act as the “Voice of the Customer” for all work-streams within the payments program
  • Create, update and prioritize requirements/product backlog for all work-streams within the payments program
  • Refine user stories within the Product Backlog  for all work-streams within the payments program
  • Develop business cases for applicable new product development, feature/functionality enhancements and product exists to align with strategic imperatives
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of applicable strategic product initiatives
  • Recommend strategic investments in technology to deliver applicable product requirements
  • Support/Lead product driven payment projects and initiatives
  • Build and execute product suite strategy and roadmaps
  • Define clear and compelling value propositions for assigned projects/products

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

  • Knowledge of the Caribbean Payments landscape
  • Experience in an Agile delivery environment
  • Ability to tackle complex business problems through strategy development, challenge processes and enhance business performance.
  • Strong communication skills – oral and written
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Management or equivalent education/training.

Nice to Have:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing or related discipline  
  • Active Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) designation
