AI Summary

You will own and communicate the eCommerce product roadmap while aligning investment decisions with company strategy and customer needs. Additionally, you will lead discovery processes and partner with cross-functional teams to define problems, outcomes, and success measures.

Job Description

As eCommerce Product Manager, you will help shape the future direction of our eCommerce product portfolio, connecting business priorities, customer needs and commercial opportunities into a clear, value-led roadmap.

Working closely with the Senior Product Manager and key business and delivery teams, you will guide evidence-based decisions about where to invest, which outcomes to pursue and how to improve customer experience, conversion, revenue and operational effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Own and communicate the eCommerce roadmap, ensuring investment decisions remain aligned with company strategy, customer needs, commercial objectives and changing business conditions.
  • Evaluate opportunities using customer value, commercial impact, business readiness, cost of delay, risk, effort and strategic fit.
  • Work as a trusted partner and advisor to stakeholders across eCommerce, Marketing, Merchandising, Sales, Customer Service, ITS, UX, CRO, Engineering, Business Analysis and Delivery, helping them define problems, outcomes, success measures and agreed business value.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, challenge assumptions constructively and bring business owners, functional leads and delivery partners together around priorities, trade-offs, sequencing decisions and roadmap direction.
  • Lead early-stage discovery to understand business challenges, customer behaviours, pain points and opportunities, using workshops, customer insight, data and subject matter expertise to shape clear product decisions.
  • Frame initiatives clearly before delivery, with a strong problem statement, business rationale, expected benefits, success measures and key performance indicators.
  • Partner with Business Analysts, UX, CRO, Engineering and Delivery teams throughout delivery, supporting prioritisation and trade-off decisions where business value, scope, risk or strategic alignment is affected.
  • Monitor product and business performance using analytics, customer feedback, commercial data and stakeholder insight, applying results and learnings to refine future priorities and champion evidence-based product management best practice.

Required skills and experience

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in Product Management or Digital Product Management.
  • Proven ability to shape product roadmaps, evaluate options and support strategic business decision making.
  • A strong understanding of digital customer journeys, eCommerce processes and online customer behaviour.
  • Experience using analytics, customer insight, commercial data and stakeholder input to inform decisions and measure value.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, facilitation and business partnering skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • The ability to translate business challenges and customer needs into clear outcomes, success measures and practical delivery decisions.
  • Experience working with Agile delivery teams, with a clear understanding of the distinction between Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis and Delivery Management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • The confidence to operate strategically while maintaining sufficient delivery awareness to support effective decision making.
  • Commercial acumen, customer focus, strong prioritisation judgement, product discovery capability, outcome ownership and change leadership.
