Product Development Designer

What the job is

You own new products from idea to ready-to-sell.

You stay tapped into trends and bring your own ideas. You design the product when needed, and you give production clear sizes, exact details, and designs so they can make samples and finish it. Sometimes the idea needs no new design, just a clear plan for how we bring it to market, and you discuss with the production team what the possibilities and limitations are. Our production team is strong, so full tech packs are often not needed. If something is unclear and slowing them down, you clear it.

(We'll cover product-page work with our designer and UI/UX after a strong trial.)

Must-haves

• Very tapped into trends, social media, and TikTok (most of our best product ideas come from what we see online)
• Can design jewelry, charms, and accessories, or other product ideas we decide to bring to life
• Can take a product idea that needs little or no new design (like personalized products), figure out with production how we should execute it, and problem-solve until it's ready to sell
• Portfolio with previous product designs (jewelry and other)
• Comfortable giving exact sizes and details
• Moves fast and follows up without being chased
• Good written English for async work with the team

Nice-to-haves

• DTC / Shopify product experience
• AI-native: can make quick renders and mockups with AI
• Worked with a production team before
• Experience with tech packs (helpful when needed; full tech packs are often not required here)

Pay, hours, location

• Remote, flexible hours, about full-time (around 35–40 hrs/week), more or less as we need
• Daily overlap with our morning or afternoon work hours (CET), so we can talk and clear things with no delay
• Hourly pay: $20/hr USD, open to negotiate based on the level of your application
• Big bonuses on top (can more than double your monthly pay) for shipping products fast and for completing products that end up doing well
