Job Description:

Electronics Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement of electronic components/assemblies, materials, and services to support production, new product introduction, and strategic initiatives. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can balance cost, quality, and delivery objectives while building strong supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement. The Electronics Buyer must demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, documentation, and ERP functionality.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Responsible for printed circuit board assembly and electronic components procurement according to supply chain strategies and material requirement plan
  • Manage end-to-end purchasing activities including RFQ’s, non-conforming material and invoice reconciliation.
  • Develop and manage relationships with suppliers, monitor performance and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Perform material risk analysis to ensure availability to contract alignment and mitigate stock-out situations
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, stocking strategies and payment terms
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Planning, Operations and Quality to support business objectives
  • Proficient in ERP Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Complete required compliance packages for all purchase orders
  • Monitor market trends, strategies and supply base
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Experience demonstrating negotiation skills
  • Cost Point ERP System Experience
  • Graduate degree
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Certified Professional Contract Manager
  • Experience working with DoD procurement Requirements and practices including FAR & DFAR procurement requirements
  • Strong understanding of Procurement, Manufacturing Operations, and material logistics
  • Cost analysis experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
  • Global sourcing experience
