What You’ll Do: 

The Procurement Administrator supports the purchasing and availability of trailer parts used in maintenance, repair, and fleet operations. This role creates and tracks purchase orders, coordinates with vendors, maintains accurate purchasing records, and helps ensure parts arrive when needed. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable working with parts, service, and accounting teams in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders for trailer parts, supplies, and related materials.
• Request quotes, compare pricing and lead times, and follow up with vendors on availability and delivery.
• Track open orders, resolve shipping delays, and communicate updates to parts and service teams.
• Verify order confirmations, packing slips, and invoices; research discrepancies in quantities, pricing, or part numbers.
• Maintain accurate vendor, pricing, purchase order, and item records in the purchasing system.
• Assist with sourcing parts for trailer repairs, including brake, suspension, lighting, electrical, door, and body components.
• Coordinate returns, warranty claims, credits, and damaged or incorrect shipments.
• Support inventory counts and help identify frequently used, obsolete, or hard-to-source parts.
• Work with accounting to resolve invoice and payment questions.
• Follow company purchasing procedures and maintain complete documentation for each transaction.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant training preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, parts administration, inventory, or a related role preferred.
• Experience with trailer, heavy-duty truck, fleet, or transportation parts strongly preferred.
• Ability to read part numbers, compare specifications, and identify suitable replacement parts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and purchasing or inventory management systems.
• Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with vendors and internal teams.

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to pass post-offer drug screening, physical examination and background check 

Compensation: 

• Base Pay: $30-$32/hour (depending on qualifications, skills and experience)
• Full-time position
