The GPC Process Specialist is tasked with defining, documenting, and enabling standardized Global Project Controls processes. This role ensures that processes are clearly articulated, consistently applied, and supported by high-quality documentation and training across Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) processes, systems, and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for EPC Global Project Controls.
  • Define end-to-end process flows using Visio.
  • Translate complex operational workflows into clear, standardized documentation.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation for EPC processes and systems.
  • Develop Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) and User Guides to support day-to-day execution.
  • Create process training materials to support business continuity, reporting & analytics, new process rollouts, and digitization initiatives.
  • Partner with Organizational Change Management (OCM) and project teams to translate process changes into practical, role-specific training content.
  • Develop process documentation and training for EPC systems such as SAP EPPM, SAP ECC, IBP, and Omega 365.
  • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support process simplification and standardization initiatives.
  • Ensure documentation remains current as systems, tools, and processes evolve.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and various teams to align on the process and document it accurately.
  • Define process metrics such as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for process improvement initiatives and facilitate discussions for process alignment.

Essential Skills

  • 5-7 years of experience in Business Process Documentation & SOP Development.
  • Proficiency in Process Mapping, Visio, and Workflow Design.
  • Experience in Technical Writing, Training Material, and User Guide Development.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly guidance.
  • Stakeholder collaboration across EPC, Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
  • Experience with enterprise systems and digital tooling.
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting process, controls, or digitization initiatives.
  • Experience in EPC or large-scale enterprise environments is a strong plus.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position within the U.S., with a preference for candidates in the Pacific Time Zone, though strong candidates from other U.S. time zones will be considered. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with no overtime anticipated. There is a chance for extension. The role offers an opportunity to shape and standardize business processes supporting large-scale global capital project delivery and provides high visibility across EPC, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Digital Transformation teams. It involves exposure to enterprise platforms including SAP EPPM, SAP ECC, Ariba, IBP, SCC, Icertis, Compass, and Omega 365.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
