The intern will decompose operational workflows into machine-readable specifications to support AI agent development and process automation. They will conduct stakeholder interviews, document decision logic, and design future-state processes to improve operational efficiency.
Job Description
JOB SCOPE: The Process Mapping & Future-State Design Intern will build the workflow specification library for Paperclip creating the foundational process knowledge that AI agents require to operate reliably. This role explicitly owns the creation of Paperclip Workflow Specification Documents, not just general process documentation. This role supports the company s transition to an AI-agentic operating model, where operational workflows are decomposed, documented, redesigned, and progressively automated through AI agents, with humans focused on oversight, escalation, and business judgment.
JOB SUMMARY: This role is responsible for extracting the source code of the business turning human-executed operational work into machine-readable process knowledge that AI agents can act on. The intern will partner with operational teams to decompose workflows into triggers, inputs, decisions, actions, and escalation rules, producing structured documentation that serves as the foundation for agent development and operational automation across the organization.
