You will partner with account executives to conduct technical discovery, build proofs of concept, and lead high-stakes technical reviews for strategic accounts. Additionally, you will own post-sale technical onboarding and provide critical feedback to product and engineering teams to shape the AI roadmap.
Invoca is an AI-powered revenue execution platform that brings together marketing, commerce, and contact center teams to turn every customer interaction into measurable, profitable growth. Join our dynamic, fast-growing team, where innovation and collaboration are at the core of our culture.
Our Sales Engineering team is the technical heartbeat of the go-to-market organization. We don't just demo Invoca — we get into the room with a prospect's real systems and real data, prove out value fast, and stay accountable for making it actually work once the deal closes. We partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to solve complex customer challenges. We are a collaborative, egoless team that thrives on continuous learning and pushing the boundaries of what AI can do for our customers.
Partner directly with Account Executives on strategic, high-value accounts — joining calls, running technical discovery, and navigating complex integration and security reviews
Build working proofs of concept against a prospect's actual systems and data to prove out value before contracts are signed — not slideware, not a static demo
Act as the lead technical voice in high-stakes reviews with customer CTOs and Security Officers, defending the scalability, data integrity, and security of your proposed solution
Stay Accountable After the Close
Own post-sale technical onboarding for key accounts — implementation, custom configuration, and the first 90 days of "does this actually work for us"
Build reusable tools, templates, and accelerators so the next deal or onboarding goes faster than the last one
Translate what you see across many customer engagements into clear, prioritized feedback for Product and Engineering — you're often the earliest signal on what the roadmap should be
Bring the AI Judgment
Use generative AI and agentic tooling (RAG, prompt engineering, LLM orchestration frameworks, function calling / tool use) to build solutions that solve a customer's actual workflow, not just answer a question
Implement "Human-in-the-Loop" checkpoints and other guardrails so AI-driven solutions you build and deploy are reliable, safe, and free of hallucinations
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to keep Invoca "AI-ready," acting as the feedback loop between the field and core product development
Business acumen: the ability to translate a technical architecture into a "Value Story." You understand that the best code is useless if it doesn't solve a business pain point
Comfort with ambiguity: you can scope a working solution in a day when the requirements are incomplete and the clock is the sales calendar, not a sprint
The "Multiplier" mindset: you enjoy building tools that make other people successful, and you're obsessed with documentation and reusable code
Genuine interest in the customer and the business problem, not just the technical one — you want to be in the room where the deal happens
5+ years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Forward Deployed Engineering in a SaaS environment
Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders (and vice versa) in real time
Full-stack engineering fluency (Python or JavaScript/Node.js) — comfort designing a solution from the data layer up to a working UI when a customer needs to see it
Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, Webhooks, and authentication protocols (OAuth2); you know how to connect disparate systems into a unified, automated workflow
Practical experience with LLM orchestration (RAG, prompt engineering) and frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex, including systems where AI takes action via function calling / tool use
Experience with process automation tooling (Gumloop, Zapier, Workato) to connect marketing touchpoints to sales and onboarding outcomes
