The Principal Enterprise Architect is a senior technology leader responsible for defining and driving the future-state technology strategy, architecture roadmap, and transformation initiatives for a portfolio of business capabilities. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, ensuring technology investments, architecture decisions, and modernization efforts align with SiteOne's strategic growth objectives.

The Enterprise Architect should consistently ask: “How can we modernize and optimize our technology landscape to better enable business growth, improve agility, and maximize enterprise value?”

The role combines business acumen, architectural expertise, and technology leadership to guide large-scale transformation initiatives, evaluate emerging technologies, shape vendor strategies, govern key architecture decisions, and design scalable solutions that enable growth while reducing complexity, cost, technical debt, and risk.

Core Responsibilities

• Own technology strategies and roadmaps.
• Design end-to-end solutions for major initiatives.
• Evaluate and select technology platforms.
• Govern strategic technology decisions.
• Sense emerging trends and innovation opportunities.
• Influence vendor and platform roadmaps.

Must‑Have Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive IT experience.
• 5+ years of Enterprise Architecture, Domain Architecture, or Lead Solution Architecture experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing technology strategies and roadmaps.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale transformation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of business architecture, application architecture, integration, data, cloud, and security principles.
• Experience with ERP (MS Dynamics, SAP, Oracle), CRM (Salesforce), eCommerce (SAP Hybris, Salesforce), supply chain (BY, Manhattan), data platform (Snowflake), integration (Boomi), and cloud (Azure / AWS) modernization initiatives.
• Experience influencing executive stakeholders and technology leadership teams.
• Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in retail, distribution, supply chain, wholesale, manufacturing, or logistics industries.
• Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, BIZBOK, SAFe, or equivalent.
• MBA or master’s degree.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and large-scale integration programs.
