Principal Architect - Majesco P&C

Job Summary:

• The Principal Architect - Majesco P&C is responsible for defining and driving solution architecture for Majesco P&C customer implementations and modernization programs. The role translates business and technology requirements into scalable, secure and supportable solutions across Majesco Policy, Billing, Claims, Digital, Data and integration capabilities. The Principal Architect works closely with customers, Product, Engineering and Services teams to make sound architecture decisions, proactively manage technical risks, maximize product capabilities and ensure solutions are delivered with quality, predictability and long-term maintainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for assigned Majesco P&C implementations, ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes, Majesco product capabilities and architecture standards.
• Define solution blueprints across Policy, Billing, Claims, Digital, Data, APIs, integrations and surrounding customer ecosystem components.
• Translate business, functional and non-functional requirements into clear architecture decisions, integration patterns and implementation guidance.
• Lead solution and design reviews, identifying architecture risks, dependencies, performance concerns and product gaps early in the delivery lifecycle.
• Drive a product-first approach by maximizing out-of-the-box capabilities, minimizing unnecessary customization and promoting reusable implementation patterns.
• Partner with Product Management and Engineering to evaluate solution gaps and determine appropriate configuration, extension, integration or product enhancement approaches.
• Work directly with customer architects and technology teams to explain architecture options, trade-offs, risks and recommendations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to solution architects, technical leads and engineering teams throughout implementation.
• Promote automation, AI-enabled engineering practices, architecture standards and reusable assets that improve delivery quality and predictability.

Technical Expertise:

• Deep architecture experience with enterprise P&C insurance platforms; strong understanding of Policy Administration, Billing and Claims business capabilities and implementation patterns.
• Strong knowledge of Majesco P&C solutions is highly preferred, including Majesco Policy, Billing, Claims and related Digital, Data and integration capabilities.
• Proven experience designing cloud-native SaaS and distributed enterprise architectures, including microservices, APIs, event-driven integration, resiliency, scalability, observability and security.
• Strong understanding of integration architecture and technologies including REST APIs, asynchronous messaging/events, API management, identity and access management, OAuth/OIDC and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with public cloud architecture (AWS and/or Azure), containers/Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevSecOps and modern application delivery practices.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data migration/conversion, reporting/analytics integration and performance considerations for large-scale insurance implementations.
• Ability to define and assess non-functional requirements including performance, availability, scalability, security, recoverability and operational supportability.
• Working knowledge of AI/GenAI/Agentic AI architecture patterns, governance and practical application within software engineering and insurance business processes is preferred.

Preferred Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Typically 12+ years of enterprise technology experience, including significant solution/technical architecture experience.
• 7+ years of P&C insurance technology experience or comparable experience implementing enterprise insurance platforms strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience owning architecture for complex, multi-system enterprise implementation programs and engaging directly with customer architects, technology leaders and delivery teams.
• Prior experience with Majesco or another leading P&C core insurance platform is strongly preferred.
