Job Summary

The Analyst II, Pipeline Development and Research perform high-value individual and institutional prospect research, combining traditional methods and the development, evaluation, and implementation of new AI tools and agentic solutions, develop new and modify existing predictive models that support the optimized placement of donors into pipelines, and identify opportunities from donor data and AI solutions to support and the extend the capabilities of prospect research, relationship mapping, and data analytics.

 

Roles and Key Responsibilities

Prospecting 

  •  
  • Conduct proactive research and analysis to identify, qualify, and prioritize potential high-value individual and institutional donors prospects aligned with fundraising objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver prospect intelligence, including donor profiles, capacity and affinity assessments, relationship insights, and strategic to support donor cultivation and solicitation efforts. 
  • Support pipeline development processes and prospect management activities by identifying opportunities and informing engagement strategies for high-value individual and institutional donors.

 

Agentic Engineering for Research, Prospecting & Risk Analysis

  • Lead development and enhancement of internal agentic AI solutions, in partnership with GKIM and Analytics and Development Operations, for prospecting and prospect research, including both individual and institutional donors, and identifying relationships between donors, including solutions that incorporate data from an internal graph database
  • Lead development of internal agentic solutions, in partnership with GKIM and Analytics and Development Operations, for the incorporation of near real time data from external sources
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of AI-enabled solutions for prospect risk analysis and evaluation of aligned with organizational priorities and stakeholder needs.  
  • Assess and support the adoption of internally developed and vendor provided AI tools that strengthen research, prospecting, and analytical capabilities. 

 

Predictive Analytics

  • Develop predictive models, using machine learning techniques, to optimize placement of donors in pipelines and programs
  • Optimize model performance, perform regular model runs, lead regular updates to models, and develop near real-time availability of model results, through an understanding of internal data, systems, and platforms in coordination with the Data and Platform Systems team
  • Translate predictive analytics and graph database into actionable recommendations that support donor engagement and strategic decision-making across GREM. 

 

Data Discovery

  • Assist in the evaluation of internal and vendor supplied data for utility, accuracy, and potential incorporation into predictive modeling, reporting, and strategic approaches to engage donors
  • Support the expansion and ongoing enhancement of donor graph database through the incorporation of existing and new relational data to facilitate opportunities with individual and institutional prospects
  • Conduct regular analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that strengthen  donor understanding and fundraising  strategies.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Python
  • Knowledge of machine learning modeling techniques (e.g. random forest, gradient boosting)
  • Knowledge of social network analysis
  • Familiarity with agentic AI
  • Familiarity with prospect research for philanthropic fundraising
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Detail oriented, results-oriented and proactive 
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet all deadlines  
  • Able to effectively communicate, coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders 
  • Effective listener and able to understand intent as well as hoped for outcome  
  • Constant learner and innovator, able and willing to learn new systems and software  
  • Able to develop technical solutions to meet business needs  
  • Able to provide coaching and support to others

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Social Sciences, Economics, and related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in research and/or data analytics or demonstrated experience in independent academic research

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in data science or data analytics or other higher degree with evidence of performing rigorous data analysis in research
  • Experience in prospect research 
  • Knowledge of data available for understanding net worth and philanthropic inclination and affinity
