Position Summary
The Physician Liaison, previously referred to as our Field Marketer, is a highly visible, field-based role responsible for driving client growth through consistent, in-person relationship building with physicians, referral sources, and community partners.
This position is predominantly a "boots-on-the-ground" role requiring frequent local travel to meet directly with physicians, psychologists, other healthcare providers, office managers, and referral coordinators to generate referrals for children with autism who may benefit from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services.
The Physician Liaison partners closely with local and regional leadership to execute grassroots marketing strategies that strengthen referral pipelines, support new center openings, and accelerate growth across both established and emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, and referral sources through regular in-person visits.
- Develop referral partnerships with pediatricians, psychologists, therapists, schools, and community organizations.
- Execute local grassroots marketing initiatives to increase awareness of ABA services.
- Identify opportunities to grow referral networks and expand market presence.
- Partner with operations and regional leadership to support center growth and new market expansion.
- Track referral activity, analyze performance data, and identify trends to improve outreach efforts.
- Represent the organization at community events, healthcare meetings, and networking opportunities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of outreach activities and referral relationships using company systems.
Preferred Qualifications
We're looking for candidates who have:
- Medical sales experience or a clinical healthcare background (such as a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist Assistant, Certified Athletic Trainer, or similar healthcare profession)
- Demonstrated success building and maintaining professional relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- The ability to interpret and utilize data to guide outreach strategies and measure success
- A valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally on a daily basis
- Experience working independently in a field-based environment
Position Details

- Compensation: Starting salary of $65,000, with higher compensation available based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary in an assigned market as a representative for the organization, spending the majority of time in the field meeting face-to-face with physicians, clinical providers, and key referral sources to drive referrals for ABA services.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with pediatricians, developmental specialists, psychologists, school partners, and other community stakeholders who serve children with autism and their families.
- Plan and execute high touch, grassroots marketing programs that strengthen referral pipelines and increase awareness of services at the local and market level.
- Travel most weeks to assigned markets to support centers through consistent in person outreach, provider visits, community events, and referral source engagement.
- Partner with area Vice Presidents of Operations, Directors of Clinical Operations, and center leaders to align field marketing efforts with client acquisition.
- Maintain a strong pulse on center performance and referral trends to proactively adjust outreach strategies and prioritize high impact markets and providers.
- Identify gaps and opportunities within local referral networks and recommend targeted, field based marketing tactics to drive growth.
- Consistently track all field marketing activities, provider visits, outreach efforts, and referral conversations in Salesforce, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete data entry.
- Use Salesforce and related data platforms to manage provider pipelines, monitor referral source engagement, and prioritize high impact outreach activities.
- Actively manage outreach strategies to achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly targets related to leads and admits, adjusting field activity based on performance trends and data insights.
- Represent the organization professionally and consistently in all external interactions, reinforcing brand credibility, clinical excellence, and commitment to families.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in a marketing environment running successful campaigns specific to multi-location marketing. Healthcare-specific marketing is preferred. Additional job requirements - Takes an active interest in improving programs and deepening community relationships. Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to multiple groups, internal and external. Proven collaborator with the ability to rally multiple resources to accomplish goals. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Proper support in place to travel monthly.
