About the Role

We are seeking a People Operations Specialist to support the People team in delivering best-in-class HR operations, employee experience, and people processes across Nscale. This is a hands-on, operational role that sits at the heart of our People function, ensuring that our people systems, data, and processes run smoothly as we scale rapidly.

You'll be the operational backbone of our People team-managing transactional excellence, maintaining accurate employee data, coordinating key people processes, and enabling seamless employee experiences from onboarding through offboarding. Your work will directly impact how our teams feel supported and how effectively our People leaders can focus on strategy.

What You'll Be Doing

People Operations & Process Management

  • Manage day to day employee queries via JIRA for US and globally
  • Manage core HR transactional processes including onboarding, off-boarding, transfers, and role changes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain the HRIS (Human Resource Information System) with high data integrity, ensuring all employee records are complete, current, and compliant
  • Process employee documentation, employment contracts, and regulatory compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate people-related communications and ensure consistent dissemination of HR policies and updates
  • Create and maintain HR r data to enable key people metrics

Employee Experience & Support

  • Serve as a point of contact for 1 tier employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other
  • Support new employee onboarding, ensuring smooth integration and access to tools and systems
  • Maintain employee records, confidentiality, and document management in compliance with data protection regulations
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks that impact employee experience

Compensation & Equity Support

  • Assist in the administration and tracking of compensation-related processes and payroll data submission
  • Support the Equity Compensation team with data management, documentation, and administrative requirements for grant tracking and reporting
  • Maintain accurate equity records and support reconciliations across HRIS and external equity administration systems
  • Contribute to compensation reporting and analysis as needed by the Reward team

Compliance, Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure all people operations comply with employment law, data protection regulations , and company policies across multiple jurisdictions
  • Maintain audit trails and documentation for compliance, internal controls, and external audits
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies, processes, and systems improvements
  • Identify automation opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Operations) on people-related initiatives

About You

Experience & Background

  • 3-5 years of experience in HR operations, people operations, or similar HR coordinator/administrator roles
  • Experience with HRIS systems and HR data management (Workday knowledge is a plus)
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple HR processes in high-growth or fast-paced environments
  • Familiarity with employment law and compliance across multiple jurisdictions (US is a must, EMEA and APAC are a plus)
  • Experience supporting equity compensation, payroll, or benefits administration is a plus

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capability for maintaining accurate, auditable records
  • Proficient with data manipulation for reporting, data management, and process administration
  • Comfortable with HRIS systems, HR software platforms, and basic data analytics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain HR policies and processes clearly to employees at all levels
  • Excellent follow-up skills, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and see tasks through to completion
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify operational gaps and propose improvements
  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a collaborative team
