We’re looking for a high-ownership HR Manager who can operate at the center of the business by supporting employees and leaders day-to-day while strengthening how our people systems work. This role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and a creative, solutions-oriented mindset.

You’ll take ownership of execution and continuous improvement across core people operations, while partnering closely with the Chief People Officer to align on priorities, pressure test ideas, and scale what works. This is not a traditional HR role - it’s for someone who is excited to take initiative and build.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own day-to-day employee experience with strong judgment — serve as a trusted partner to employees and managers, handling employee relations, policy interpretation, and support with consistency; escalate and calibrate thoughtfully with the CPO on more complex or sensitive matters
  • Drive execution of core people operations — onboarding, offboarding, performance cycles, and policy/handbook management; ensure high-quality execution while proactively identifying gaps and bringing forward solutions
  • Manage HR systems, data, and payroll (TriNet) — maintain accurate, reliable data and reporting; oversee payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Ensure compliance and strengthen practices — monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; recommend and implement best practices; review and update policies to maintain compliance while supporting the business
  • Identify opportunities and build better ways of working — proactively spot friction, inefficiencies, or inconsistencies; partner with the CPO and cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement practical, scalable solutions

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-8+ years of relevant HR experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR or related field; or equivalent practical experience
  • SHRM PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • Experience working in a PEO environment (TriNet preferred) and owning HRIS data/reporting
  • Creative, solutions-oriented thinker who improves systems, not just maintains them
  • Expertise developing policies and programs to assist in building culture and engagement
  • An approach to work that involves taking initiative and displaying sound judgment, diplomacy, and discretion
  • Experience in designing and implementing performance, benefits and leave programs
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with confident presentation skills with any audience size or level
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a high degree of collaboration and influence.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and operates with a sense of urgency.
