We are a Force For Good. We're selective about who comes on board, and you should be too. But if the above sounds like a match, get in touch today and get ready for the possibility of starting a once-in-a-career journey.
Nuix operates across more than 65 countries, serving global corporations, government agencies, financial institutions and law enforcement organisations. Underpinning that global reach is a People & Culture function that must deliver payroll and benefits with precision, compliance and care for every employee, regardless of jurisdiction. This role is central to that delivery.
This is a remote, day-shift position offered on a fixed-term contract basis of six months, open for extension for the successful candidate.
As a Payroll & Benefits Specialist within the Global People & Culture team, you are responsible for the accurate, compliant and timely end-to-end processing of payroll across multiple countries. You work closely with third-party payroll providers, Finance and People & Culture colleagues to ensure employees are paid correctly every cycle, statutory obligations are met in full, and payroll operations remain well-controlled, well-documented and continuously improving.
This role will be primarily a flexible remote working arrangement in the Philippines as part of our Regional Operating Head Quarters.
Manage end-to-end multi-country payroll processing with accuracy and within agreed cycle timelines. Coordinate inputs, reconcile variances, prepare approval and payment instructions, and complete banking file uploads where required.
Perform payroll reconciliations, manual tax calculations, and withholding reviews to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing. Coordinate payroll provider submissions, monitor key deadlines, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues prior to payroll sign-off.
Ensure statutory filings, tax payments, social insurance contributions and year-end reporting are completed accurately and on time. Monitor legislative changes across assigned jurisdictions and update payroll processes to maintain compliance.
Administer global employee benefit programmes, coordinating enrolments, life events, and terminations while maintaining accurate data across HRIS and payroll systems. Support enhancements to payroll and benefits processes by maintaining up-to-date SOPs, identifying process efficiencies, and assisting with system implementations where required.
Provide timely support to employees and managers on payroll and benefits enquiries, resolving routine issues and escalating complex or compliance-related matters where appropriate.
Maintain payroll governance by ensuring documentation, audit trails, and payroll records are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Relevant tertiary qualification and at least three years of multi-country payroll experience. A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline is required, alongside demonstrated experience processing payroll across several jurisdictions.
Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation and statutory obligations across multiple countries. You can apply local employment law requirements confidently, identify compliance risk and adjust processes promptly when regulations change.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capability applied to payroll data. You perform variance analysis, identify anomalies and validate payroll accuracy across multiple data sources with a systematic and methodical approach.
Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to manage payroll enquiries from employees and stakeholders effectively. You respond accurately and helpfully, escalate complex matters appropriately and keep employees informed throughout the resolution process.
Organised and disciplined in managing multiple concurrent deadlines across jurisdictions without loss of accuracy. You plan your workload proactively, flag risks to the Payroll Manager early and ensure all payroll cycle and statutory submission dates are met consistently.
Sound problem-solving judgement, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. You identify root causes, implement resolutions and escalate when warranted, while contributing constructively alongside Finance, People & Culture and external provider contacts.
Experience supporting PEO or EOR employees within a global or multinational organisation. Understanding of employer-of-record arrangements and distributed workforce models is a practical advantage given the organisation's geographic footprint.
Familiarity with a modern cloud-based HRIS or global payroll platform, such as HiBob, Deel or a comparable system. Experience with these tools accelerates your contribution and supports the team's ongoing digitisation and process improvement agenda.
