About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a sharp, proactive and highly detail-oriented Payroll & Administrative Assistant to join our client's growing team.

This role is ideal for someone who is quick-thinking, comfortable working with systems and able to learn new processes quickly. While previous payroll experience is beneficial, extensive experience is not essential. The client is more interested in finding someone with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy.

You’ll support payroll-related activities and general administration, helping ensure records are accurate, paperwork is completed correctly and day-to-day processes run smoothly.

The ideal candidate enjoys structured tasks, working with information, maintaining organised records and following processes through to completion. They should be comfortable handling repetitive administrative work without losing focus or compromising quality.

Experience with payroll, credentialing or administrative processes within US healthcare companies would be an advantage, but candidates with strong transferable administrative skills are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll and Administrative Support

  • Assist with payroll-related administration and the accurate processing of employee information.
  • Maintain, update and organise payroll records and supporting documentation.
  • Review information for completeness and accuracy before processing or submission.
  • Assist with collecting, verifying and updating relevant employee details.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure administrative tasks are completed correctly and on time.

2. Data Entry and Documentation

  • Complete data entry and paperwork with a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain organised digital records, files and documentation.
  • Review information for missing details, inconsistencies or errors.
  • Ensure records are updated promptly and information is easy to retrieve.
  • Handle repetitive administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining consistent quality.

3. Systems and Process Management

  • Learn and work confidently with the client's software, databases and internal systems.
  • Navigate multiple platforms to retrieve, update and verify information.
  • Follow established workflows and administrative procedures.
  • Adapt quickly to new systems, instructions and responsibilities.
  • Identify issues or discrepancies and ask for clarification when needed.

4. Communication and Follow-Up

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and relevant stakeholders.
  • Request missing information and follow up on outstanding documentation.
  • Provide timely updates on task progress and any issues that may affect deadlines.
  • Ask questions when clarification is needed and apply feedback effectively.
  • Maintain a professional, helpful and responsive approach to daily communication.

5. Accuracy, Organisation and Accountability

  • Prioritise assigned tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Complete work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Take ownership of responsibilities and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling employee, payroll or other sensitive business information.
  • Contribute to a reliable, organised and efficient administrative function.

Minimum Requirements

There are no strict formal qualifications or extensive experience requirements for this position. We are looking for someone who demonstrates the right skills, attitude and potential.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong computer literacy and confidence working with digital systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate work.
  • The ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • A reliable, proactive approach and excellent work ethic.
  • The ability to complete repetitive, detail-sensitive tasks consistently.
  • A willingness to ask questions, accept feedback and learn new responsibilities.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating with a wider team.

Advantageous experience:
