The Partnerships Manager will build and manage a new partnerships channel, focusing initially on gifts in wills by pitching and closing agreements with charities and businesses. You will shape the value exchange, launch partners with the marketing team, and evolve the product based on partner needs.
Bare is Australia's most highly rated end of life business - supporting Australian families through the hardest time in their life.
We are a company dedicated to providing accessible, affordable end-of-life care to change the way that Australians deal with death. Our aim is to change the game in the funeral industry which has long provided expensive, traditional, cookie cutter services that don't always meet the needs of the modern Australian.
By combining empathy with technology, we're creating end-of-life experiences that are simple, personalised and affordable. In only seven years, we've served more than 50,000 families, have become Australia's most awarded end-of-life provider (with awards in customer service, innovation and digital disruption), and have built a team of more than 200 people committed to changing the way Australians deal with end-of-life. And we're just getting started.

We're hiring our first Partnerships Manager to build Bare's partnerships channel from scratch. You'll find the organisations whose communities need what we do, pitch them, sign them and make each partnership work.
For your first six months, the focus is gifts in wills. Bare Wills makes writing a will simple. We'll offer it free to charities' supporters and to businesses' clients and staff, in exchange for a trusted place in front of their communities. Charities get more wills written and more gifts pledged. Businesses get a meaningful benefit to offer. Your job is to prove this model works, fast.
Once it does, the role grows into partnerships across Bare's other services. You don't need a fundraising background. You do need to learn a new market quickly, move fast and close.
First six months: gifts in wills
Learn the market fast. Get to know how charities run gifts in wills programs, who makes the decisions and what they're measured on.
Build the partner pipeline across charities and businesses (employers, super funds, financial advisers, member organisations), and work out which segments convert best.
Pitch and close partnerships for Bare Wills, from first conversation through to signed agreement.
Shape the value exchange. Decide what each partnership includes on both sides, such as co-branded will pages, email and newsletter features, event presence and reporting, and package it into clear tiers.
Launch partners well with our marketing team, using co-branded landing pages, comms kits and tracking.
Evolve the product. Bring back what partners and their supporters need, help the product team prioritise it, and test new features with partners before launch.
After that
Grow and manage the partners you've signed, with regular reviews on results.
Find and build new partnership channels across Bare's services.
Turn what works into a repeatable playbook, and use AI tools to run the pipeline, research and outreach efficiently.
Essential
3+ years in partnerships, business development or a similar commercial role, ideally in a tech or high-growth business.
A track record of opening doors and closing deals from a cold start, with numbers you can talk us through.
You learn new markets quickly and are comfortable selling into organisations with long decision chains.
You work at pace, set your own targets and keep yourself accountable to them.
Comfortable and warm talking about wills, death and legacy.
Product-minded. You listen for what partners need and can turn it into a clear brief for a product team.
You already use AI tools in your daily work to research, write and move faster.
Ideal
Some exposure to the charity or not-for-profit sector, as a partner, supplier, volunteer or board member.
Experience with channel or B2B2C partnerships, where a partner promotes your product to their own audience.
Experience selling employee benefits, fintech, insurtech or financial services.
Experience running a pipeline in HubSpot or another CRM.
What's in it for me?
Someone in our end-of-life team recently described their role this way: "This is the most impactful work I've ever done. I feel lucky to be able to help people that truly need support." So, there's that. We've also been named one of the 2026 Top 10 Inspiring Workplaces across Australasia — proof that our people-first culture is more than just talk. #PeopleFirst
In addition, we offer:
The main reason you'll join, though, is because you believe in what we do and are excited to truly transform an industry.
