About SteadyState Work Partners
SteadyState Work Partners is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit developing new methods to human performance, workforce participation, performance continuity, and operational excellence.
Through our Professional Development Center, Fellows contribute to real organizational work while expanding their professional experience and advancing our mission. The PDC is designed to serve both professional development and organizational development at the same time.
About the Fellowship
The Organizational Development Fellowship is designed for professionals with education, training, experience or interest in organizational development, human resources, talent development, learning and development, organizational effectiveness, change management, industrial-organizational psychology, leadership development, or related disciplines who want to apply and expand their skills by contributing to real organizational initiatives.
Rather than asking people to volunteer their time, we create structured opportunities for professionals to continue developing their careers while helping build the people systems, leadership infrastructure, and organizational capabilities that strengthen workforce capacity, leadership effectiveness, and long-term organizational performance.
When that happens:
The Fellow grows.
The organization grows.
The community grows.
Fellowship Structure
This is an unpaid professional fellowship.
Instead of financial compensation, Fellows receive meaningful professional experience through real, short-term organizational work designed to strengthen future employment, certification, and career advancement.
Fellows may gain:
Experience supporting SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, HRCI (aPHR, PHR, SPHR), ATD (APTD/CPTD), Prosci Change Management, or other organizational development certifications
Portfolio-quality project experience
Professional references
Cross-functional collaboration
Executive-level project exposure
Mission-driven professional experience
This fellowship is intended for professionals who are intentionally investing in their long-term career development rather than seeking immediate paid employment.
How It Works
Every Fellow is matched to one or more strategic initiatives aligned with their background, interests, and professional goals.
