Responsibilities

The T6 Operations Manager – T-6 COMBS (Contractor Operated and Maintained Base Supply) is responsible for technical oversight, maintenance integration, and sustainment support of the T-6 aircraft fleet within the COMBS program. This role ensures aircraft parts and support services meet operational readiness objectives, contract requirements, safety standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements.

 

This position serves as the primary liaison between engineering, maintenance, supply chain, quality, and the Program Manager to drive operational excellence and technical performance. The T6 Operations Manager will manage and provide oversight of the Over & Above (O&A) process across all COMBS sites and will lead the MTCI Manager and the TCTO/TD/TCI Analyst in the execution of their duties. This role reports directly to the Program Manager.

 

While this is a remote position, the preferred candidate will reside within a commutable distance to Oklahoma City, OK or Madison, MS. This position requires up to 30% travel to COMBS sites and other program locations as needed.

 

 

Job Duties

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Gather and analyze supply chain, maintenance, and logistics data from systems such as NALCOMIS, OOMA, SAP, AMMO, Power BI, or equivalent tools.
  • Review and utilize dashboards, spreadsheets, and data visualization tools to track material readiness, consumption trends, and inventory performance.
  • Support the Data Analyst Lead by providing data and information used to produce reports for PMO and leadership reviews.
  • Track material fill rates, backorder trends, requisition timeliness, and procurement lead times.
  • Assist in forecasting material requirements and demand trends based on historical data and operational schedules.
  • Monitor and validate data accuracy within logistics, supply, and maintenance databases.
  • Identify anomalies, missing data, or inconsistencies and coordinate corrections with site personnel.
  • Prepare and manage Over and Above (O&A) tracking reports, material disposition data, and cost analysis; provide oversight of the overall O&A process across COMBS sites.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the MTCI Manager and the TCTO/TD/TCI Analyst to ensure effective management of TCTO/TD/TCI material and related processes.
  • Develop and maintain standardized templates for reporting and analytics across COMBS locations.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives using trend analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting of TCTO/TD/TCI material data.
  • Provide technical and administrative support during audits, inspections, and data calls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support logistics performance and data-driven operations.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Preferred, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business, Aviation Management, or a related field (or relevant coursework/experience).
  • 8-10 years of experience in data analytics, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • 3 years’ experience in aviation supply chain.
  • Experience using ERP, logistics, or maintenance systems (e.g., NALCOMIS, OOMA, IMDS) is a plus.
  • Experience with the Request for Supplies and Services (RSS) and Over and Above (O&A) processes desired.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charting.
  • Experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
  • Understanding of supply chain, inventory management, and maintenance data concepts (aviation experience preferred).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data validation and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data responsibly.
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new systems, data structures, and analytical techniques.
