You will own the end-to-end launch and operations of a new healthcare specialty, including building back-office workflows, hiring teams, and managing revenue operations. You will also collaborate with engineering to implement automation and AI tools to optimize performance and improve operational efficiency.
3Y Health is building the operating system for healthcare practices, an AI-native platform that helps clinicians start, run and grow their practice. We work as a managed services organization (MSO): along with the software, our operations team runs the back office for the clinics we partner with, including billing, insurance and compliance. We currently serve applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy practices and are expanding into other specialties. We're backed by Founders Fund, General Catalyst, SoftBank and 8VC.
We're expanding into new specialties, and each one needs a single person who owns its launch. As an Operations Lead, an operations manager role with full ownership of a specialty, you'll take that specialty from a blank page to a working back office. You'll work out how billing, insurance and provider support should run, write the SOPs, own the integrations your specialty needs and work with engineering to connect the systems, hire the team, and go live. Once the specialty is running, you'll run it and improve it, and over time take on its revenue operations.
You'll own a specialty, with a team that supports you. A specialty can only start billing and collections once its operations are in place, so your work directly unblocks revenue. We're hiring several Operations Leads, one per specialty, starting now.
You don't need experience in the specialty or in US healthcare. You need to learn fast, care about details and take responsibility for outcomes.
Own the launch of one new specialty, from first requirements to go-live for billing and collections
Learn how the specialty works: how its practices bill, which payers, codes and rules matter, how authorizations and benefits checks work, and where the work usually breaks
Gather requirements from clinicians, partner practices and internal teams, and turn them into clear specs for product, engineering and integrations
Own the integrations your specialty needs: choose the EHR, practice management and clearinghouse systems to connect, manage those vendors, and work with engineering through testing and go-live
Write and maintain the SOPs and playbooks your team runs on
Hire and lead your specialty team, including RCM, authorization and benefits verification, and care operations specialists working across time zones, and own onboarding and general team training.
Build the dashboards and KPIs for your specialty, such as clean claim rate, denial rate, days in A/R, authorization turnaround and patient response times, and run the operation from them
Find manual work and remove it, using AI tools and automation or by working with engineers on the AI agents that run parts of the workflow
Over time, own revenue operations for your specialty, including collections performance, payer mix and input into pricing
Stay close to the work: review denials and authorization delays with your RCM Lead and fix the process behind them
2 to 5 years of experience in operations, consulting, a startup or another fast-moving environment
Strongly quantitative and technical. You build models and dashboards, work comfortably with data, use automation tools such as Zapier, Make or n8n to remove manual work, and make decisions from the numbers.
Experience setting up something new, such as a process, a team, a product or a business line.
Ownership. You treat the outcome as yours, you unblock yourself and you don't wait to be told what to do next.
Daily use of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for research, writing, analysis and automation. We'll ask you to show us how you use them.
Hands-on experience with Notion, Airtable or similar tools for building workflows, trackers and documentation
Comfortable with varied, hands-on work. During a launch you might write SOPs in the morning and join a payer call in the evening.
Excellent written and spoken English. Our team works across the US, Europe and Asia, and most decisions happen in writing.
Based in Athens and able to work mostly US East Coast hours (afternoons and evenings in Athens)
Founder or early-stage startup experience
Experience in US healthcare, revenue cycle management, insurance or another regulated industry
Experience with healthcare integrations, such as HL7, FHIR, X12 or EHR partner programs
Experience hiring and managing people, including distributed or offshore teams
SQL or Python
Experience working with US companies or customers
Ownership of a specialty at a venture-backed US company, working closely with leadership
Competitive pay for the Athens market
Room to grow. Operations Leads who launch a specialty well will take on more specialties, revenue operations or broader leadership as we grow.
This is a long-term independent contractor engagement with 3Y Health, not an employment contract. You'll need to be registered as a freelancer in Greece, or be willing to register before your start date. You'll be paid monthly in USD.
If you meet most of the requirements and the role interests you, we'd like to hear from you, even if you don't check every box.
