Job Description: Online IGCSE Biology & Chemistry Instructor

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly proficient and result-oriented Online Instructor to deliver targeted tutoring for Cambridge IGCSE Biology and Chemistry. This is a part-time, hourly-based role focused on strengthening core conceptual clarity, guiding practical/experimental data interpretation, and training students to excel in international exam marking schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Teach core and extended concepts across IGCSE Biology (e.g., cellular structures, human physiology, plant transport, genetics) and Chemistry (e.g., stoichiometry, electrochemistry, organic chemistry, chemical energetics).
  

• Exam Preparation: Familiarize students with the structure of IGCSE evaluation papers, focusing heavily on past papers, Paper 2 (MCQs), Paper 4 (Extended theory), and Paper 6 (Alternative to Practical).
  

• Conceptual Clarity: Break down complex biochemical pathways and chemical equations into simplified, digestible steps.
  

• Resource Assignment: Share targeted worksheets, topical tests, and feedback reports to monitor student progress continually.
  

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

• Subject Expertise: Strong academic background in Science (B.Sc / M.Sc or equivalent engineering degree). Thorough familiarity with the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) IGCSE syllabus is mandatory.
  

• Teaching Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience teaching international curricula (IGCSE / IB).
  

• Communication: Flawless verbal and written English communication skills are required.
  

• Technical Setup: Must possess a reliable laptop/PC, stable high-speed internet, a functional digital writing pad/stylus, and a quiet workspace for conducting online sessions.
