The Onboarding & Performance Coach manages the teacher lifecycle, from initial onboarding and training to ongoing performance monitoring and quality assurance. They analyze performance data to drive improvements, provide constructive feedback, and act as a bridge between teachers, operations, and clients.
If you have spent the last few years in front of a class, you already know the part of the job that matters most β the moment a learner finally gets it, and the quiet work behind that moment: the planning, the pacing, the reading of a room, the feedback that lands without deflating anyone.
This role takes everything you built in the classroom and points it at a bigger audience. Instead of one class at a time, you shape a whole team of online English teachers: you onboard them, coach them, watch them teach, and lift the standard of every lesson they deliver. Your impact stops being measured in one register and starts being measured across a client, a cohort, a country.
βοΈAbout the role
As Onboarding & Performance Coach you own the teacher journey from first day to consistently strong performance. You are the person who turns a newly hired teacher into a confident, compliant, high-performing member of the team β and the person who keeps them there.
You sit at the centre of recruitment, training, operations and the client. When a new cohort lands, you build their runway. When quality dips, you spot it in the data before anyone complains. When a teacher is struggling, you are in the lesson, in the feedback, and in the follow-up until it is fixed.
1. Onboard new teachers and set them up to succeed
2. Coach teachers to be better than the day you met them
3. Own quality and compliance
4. Turn performance data into decisions
5. Be the bridge between teachers, operations and the client
6. Keep teaching
A minimum of 20 teaching hours per month keeps you current on the client you support, close to the learner experience, and credible with the team you coach. Nobody takes feedback seriously from someone who has not taught in three years.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for a genuinely good teacher who is ready for a corporate role β not someone leaving teaching, someone scaling it.
