National Sales Rep — Battery Recycling & Environmental Services

Battery Recyclers of America  |  Making Recycling Easy.

Read This Part First

Do you have what it takes to take your income to the next level?  This is not a role for someone looking to do slightly better than last year.

This is an inbound closing role that rewards a hunter’s instincts. Our marketing generates qualified leads nationally. You work them with real urgency — calling back in minutes instead of days, following up until there is a yes or a clear no, and treating a warm lead as an opportunity to be earned rather than an order to be taken.

The target is $100,000 in new customer gross margin per month, and our team typically ramps to that run rate within nine months. Hit your quota and your on-target earnings are $175,000–$225,000 in year one, and $250,000+ in year two.

If this is what you already make and are hungry for higher income, we should talk!

What we want is respectful assertiveness — the drive to push a deal to a decision, without the pressure tactics that cost us the next one. Aggressiveness that alienates a customer is not hunger. It is expensive.

About Us

Battery Recyclers of America has been making recycling easy since 2009. We coordinate the transport and recycling of lithium-ion, lead-acid, and other batteries for companies across the country — from small local shops to Fortune 10 enterprises. Handling batteries is complicated, regulated, and full of ways to get it wrong. Our customers call us because they want it made simple, and they stay because we deliver. That is what you will be selling, and it is why the numbers above are real.

What You’ll Own

•     $100,000 in new customer gross margin per month. We provide the leads. You provide the urgency. Most of our team reaches this run rate within nine months.

•     Speed to first contact. Responding faster than anyone in this industry is our most controllable advantage. Most competitors take days. We do not, and we measure it.

•     Relentless follow-through. Work every lead until it closes or it dies for a stated reason. The revenue we lose, we mostly lose to silence — not to competitors.

•     Expansion and reactivation. Mine existing accounts for additional material streams and bring dormant opportunities back to life. The warm base is bigger than it looks.

•     The full cycle. Qualify, scope the job with operations, quote, negotiate terms, and close.

•     Command of the material. Learn battery chemistries, what moves commodity pricing, and who the major players are — enough to handle objections credibly and price with confidence.

•     Deals operations can actually execute. Scope with our team before you commit. A quote we cannot deliver profitably is not a win for anyone.

•     The relationship after the close. Our customers stay because someone stays accountable. That someone is you.

•     Clean data in Salesforce. Pipeline, activity, and close dates stay current. Your commission, our forecasting, and our capacity planning all run off that data.

What Sets You Apart

•     Sales experience in environmental services, waste, industrial services, logistics, or another regulated B2B category

•     Experience selling into manufacturing, automotive, utility, telecom, or data center accounts

•     Familiarity with commodity-linked pricing, where margin moves with the market

•     A history of growing accounts after the first close, not just landing them

How We Work

These are the values we actually operate by — worth reading closely before you apply.

•     We deliver solutions, not quotes. Every customer situation is different. Understanding what someone actually needs comes before pricing it. The reps who win here are the ones who ask better questions.

•     Trust is earned, then re-earned every day. Do what you say you will do, every single time. Own the detail and communicate it proactively, before anyone has to ask. Do the right thing when it is inconvenient or hard — especially then.

•     1 + 1 = 3. Carriers, recyclers, operations, customers. We win when the ecosystem wins, and our success never comes at one party’s expense. We value assertiveness that creates a win on both sides — not pressure that costs us the next deal.

•     Intentional, urgent evolution. We have grown fast and the process changes constantly. Embrace the messiness of evolving. The moment satisfaction sets in, growth dies.

•   Gratitude and Celebration. Victory is collective. Gratitude is an active practice. Recognition is celebration.

Location & Work Conditions

Texas is required and Dallas–Fort Worth is strongly preferred. The home office is in Dallas. We are flexible on where you work — we do not expect you in the office five days a week — and inflexible on output. We want you close enough to be in the room with the team when it matters. Most sales calls happen between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Central, and occasional travel is required as larger opportunities arise.

Battery Recyclers of America is an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

What We Require

•     3+ years of commissioned B2B sales experience, running full cycle from qualification through close

•     A track record you can speak to in specifics — numbers, not adjectives

•     A real income goal and a reason behind it. The people who succeed here can tell you what number they are chasing and what it is for.

•     Daily working competency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM; this is a discipline, not an occasional chore

•     Located in Texas — Dallas–Fort Worth strongly preferred

•     Excellent communication and persuasion skills, written and verbal

•     Comfort with a fast pace, constant multitasking, and reprioritizing as the day changes

•     Willingness to learn technical and regulated material well enough to advise customers on it

•     Working fluency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Dropbox, and Slack

Benefits

Compensation & Benefits

•     On-target earnings at quota: $175,000–$225,000 in year one, and $250,000+ in year two

•     Base salary plus commission — a meaningful share of your earnings is variable, and that is the point

•     Most of our team reaches full quota run rate within nine months

•     Qualified inbound leads generated by our marketing — you are not buying your own pipeline

•     100% company-paid employee health benefits

•     Paid time off

•     Company-provided computer and phone
