Job Description

You'll help keep medical processing workflows organized, accurate, and ready for review across a remote healthcare support program. In this role, you'll support Air Force Accession Center operations serving 65 Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) across the continental United States from a remote work environment.

You'll coordinate records, gather documentation, support appointment readiness, and help ensure applicant medical information is complete, consistent, and available when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate medical records updates, filing, tracking, and appointment readiness.
  • Review applicant records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency within established guidelines.
  • Relay general instructions to applicants and direct them to the appropriate MEPS section when needed.
  • Obtain documentation requested by healthcare providers, including test results and records not yet filed.
  • Use healthcare and military administrative systems to support documentation collection and medical processing.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Privacy Act, and assigned organizational training requirements.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in an administrative role, preferably in a military setting, including 6 months out of the past year.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to complete HIPAA, Privacy Act, and required organizational compliance education.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending/stooping, kneeling, twisting, visual acuity, minimal hearing loss, and push/pull/carry minimum 15 lbs.
  • Must have a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and maintain eligibility throughout employment as required by program requirements.

Preferred:

  • Medical terminology certification highly preferred.
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs), military healthcare systems, or healthcare documentation platforms preferred.
