WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): 

Develops, implements and monitors direct donor marketing strategies for platelet and plasma donors – this involves ideating the overall campaign and the channel marketing contact strategy development, including copywriting, design and channel execution. Strategy development includes physical incentive item selection, sourcing, and distribution. This position also develops and executes: all platelet donation center site change marketing, new platelet donation center launch marketing, and platelet-specific onsite marketing materials. Works with management to identify, develop, and implement effective and productive marketing strategies for specific internal segments. Develops strategies and tactics across channels (especially promotional toolkits and individual tactics for email, SMS/MMS, direct mail, and phone). The ideal candidate will be a creative content thinker/developer/writer with experience in collaborating around graphic design; physical item/swag item selection, ordering, and budgeting processes; and a data-driven direct marketing strategist with a passion for saving lives!

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities): 

  • In collaboration with the Fixed Site Marketing Program Manager, designs, develops and implements direct-to-donor (B2C) marketing plans to support platelet and plasma donor growth during site changes, including new platelet/plasma donation center opportunities. This includes a strong focus on B2C channel marketing, especially email marketing, direct mail, SMS/MMS, voice (call center), and app push utilizing internal database of existing blood and platelet donors.
  • Coordinates item selection, budget management, ordering, and internal communication processes for platelet and plasma-specific onsite incentive items (i.e. physical items/swag). This also includes management of the Team Yellow (platelet and plasma) onsite incentive calendar, collaboration with the all-donor promo physical item incentive team, and Team Yellow program managers to ensure promotional effectiveness.
  • Continually reviews and optimizes audience segment identification, identifying areas of opportunity and reporting on results of recent campaigns. Analyzes donor bases at new sites or sites that are changing to inform and execute direct marketing campaigns that effectively meet growth or other targets.
  • In collaboration with the Fixed Site Marketing Program Manager, maintains suite of educational materials at Red Cross donation centers for the platelet and plasma product lines, including yearly review and “refresh” of onsite (point of sale) marketing materials and serves as subject matter expert for platelet and plasma donor marketing experience.
  • Collaborates with designers, marketing operations, targeted marketing, production, and other teams to execute tactics and programs from concept to delivery.
  • Uses best practices, creativity, data analysis and knowledge of internal and external business issues to solve complex problems. Serves as a resource and/or lead to other staff.

PAY INFORMATION:

The salary range for this position is: $75,000 ‐ $80,000.

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, years of experience, and comparison with other employees already in this role.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications): 

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of marketing experience required.
  • Prior direct marketing experience strongly desired, especially in physical item/swag incentive development, email marketing and direct mail strategy and tactical development, healthcare marketing, and/or onsite experience.
  • Email metrics analysis, segment growth strategy and data analysis experience strongly desired.

Essential Functions/Physical Requirements: Depending on work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information. Overall mobility is essential. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle and working under challenging conditions.
