The Marketing Operator will support the execution of marketing campaigns, product launches, and social media initiatives across various brand projects. They are responsible for managing creator outreach, coordinating marketing assets, and assisting with e-commerce operations to drive audience engagement.

The Role

We’re looking for a Marketing Operator to support our Product Development & Marketing Manager across merchandise marketing, product launches, social media, creator outreach, and day-to-day marketing execution.

You’ll be working on some of Telos Media’s biggest and most exciting brands, including SolarBalls, MrSpherical, RunMonsterRun, and other upcoming projects.

This is a hands-on role for someone who likes getting things done. The Marketing Manager owns the strategy and direction. You’ll help turn those plans into real campaigns, content, partnerships, launches, and sales.

You should genuinely understand and enjoy the worlds we’re building. Our products are made for fans, collectors, and online communities, so you need to understand why people love these shows and what makes our audience excited to buy, collect, share, and talk about them.

What You'll Do

Marketing & Campaigns

  • Help execute the marketing calendar and keep campaigns moving.
  • Support merchandise launches from planning through to launch day.
  • Help create and organise marketing assets including social posts, graphics, videos, product images, emails, and promotional materials in collaboration with our artists & designs.
  • Support promotions, product announcements, seasonal campaigns, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Come up with and help produce fun, engaging skits and other content that naturally features our products and brands.
  • Help execute social media and Shorts marketing alongside the Community Team.
  • Support email marketing and other customer-facing campaigns.
  • Research trends, competitors, products, creators, and marketing opportunities.
  • Help turn product ideas and campaign ideas into actual marketing executions.

Creator & Partner Outreach

  • Find and develop opportunities for UGC, product features, reviews, unboxings, integrations, and other creator-led content.
  • Identify YouTubers, creators, influencers, communities, and other potential partners who would genuinely fit our brands and products.
  • Reach out to creators about product features, reviews, gifting, collaborations, and other promotional opportunities.
  • Build and maintain creator outreach lists.
  • Follow up consistently and keep opportunities moving. Make sure creators receive the right products, information, talking points, and assets.
  • Help brief creators and provide creative direction where needed, while allowing their content to feel natural to their audience..
  • Track outreach, responses, opportunities, and results.
  • Find new ways to get Telos products in front of relevant audiences.

E-commerce & Product Support

  • Support merchandise launches and updates across our online stores.
  • Check product pages, product information, images, links, and promotional content before they go live.
  • Help research what fans and customers want by looking at customer feedback, competitor products, trends, and community conversations.
  • Help gather audience insights that can inform future products and campaigns.
  • Support product development by researching ideas, references, trends, and opportunities.
  • Work with the E-commerce Manager, artists, editors, web developer, production teams, and other teams to get things launched.

General Marketing Execution

  • Keep marketing files, assets, links, and information organised.
  • Coordinate with different teams and follow up on tasks to make sure things get done.
  • Spot mistakes, missing information, or things that could be improved before they become problems.
  • Take ownership of smaller marketing projects from start to finish.
  • Help with research, reporting, and basic marketing analysis.
  • Take on other marketing projects where an extra pair of hands can make a meaningful difference.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 1–3+ years of experience in marketing, e-commerce, social media, content marketing, or a similar role.
  • Experience working on real marketing campaigns, products, or e-commerce businesses.
  • Experience with e-commerce, ideally involving physical products, merchandise, product launches, or online stores.
  • Experience with social media and content, particularly YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with creator, influencer, community, or partnership outreach.
  • Strong written English and the ability to write clear, natural marketing and outreach copy.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving pieces.
  • Comfortable using tools such as Google Workspace, Meta Business Suite, Canva, AI tools, social platforms, and other marketing tools.
  • Able to learn quickly and work independently without needing constant direction.
  • A portfolio or examples of previous marketing, social media, content, campaign, or creative work.

You Should Also Be A Fan

This is important.

You don't need to be a lifelong SolarBalls expert, but you should genuinely like and understand the kinds of products and communities we're building for.

We're particularly interested in people who:

  • Know or are genuinely interested in SolarBalls, MrSpherical, RunMonsterRun, YouTube animation, creator-led entertainment, or similar online communities.
  • Enjoy collecting things such as cards, figures, merchandise, trading cards, or other fandom products.
  • Understand why people become fans of a show and want to own something connected to it.
  • Spend time on YouTube and understand creator communities and online fandoms.
  • Are curious about what fans are talking about, sharing, buying, and getting excited about.
  • Can look at a product and think “Would a fan actually want this?”
  • Understand that marketing to a passionate audience is different from marketing a generic consumer product.

Being a collector or genuinely passionate fan is a big plus.

We'd Also Love If You Have

  • Experience with creator or influencer marketing.
  • Experience with Shopify or another e-commerce platform.
  • Experience with email marketing tools.
  • Experience with basic analytics and reporting.
  • Experience working with merchandise, consumer products, collectibles, or creator-led brands.
  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills.
  • Experience running or supporting product launches.
  • Strong familiarity with YouTube and online creator communities.

How You Work

You are proactive, curious, and resourceful.

You don't wait for someone to give you a step-by-step list for everything. If you see something that needs doing, you figure out the next step and get it moving.

You are comfortable asking:

“I noticed this. Should I take care of it?”

You follow through. You chase things when needed. You notice details. And when something isn't working, you flag it instead of letting it sit.

Most importantly, you care about the end result, not just completing tasks.

What Good Looks Like

You make the Marketing Manager faster and more effective.

Campaigns keep moving. Launches are properly supported. Creator outreach happens consistently. Marketing assets are ready. Social content gets published. Product pages are checked. Opportunities don't get forgotten.

You also bring fan perspective to the work. You understand the audience well enough to spot ideas that could genuinely excite them.

The Goal

Help Telos Media turn the audiences behind our brands into engaged fans and customers.

Create more excitement around our products, get them in front of the right people, support great launches, and help build merchandise that fans genuinely want to own.
