We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to own and execute 1r Agency’s day-to-day marketing engine across content, social, email, campaigns, events, client storytelling, and co-marketing.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is equal parts strategist and doer. You’ll work closely with the VP of Growth & Marketing, Director of Business Development, agency leadership, and internal subject-matter experts to turn 1r’s work and expertise into marketing that builds awareness, demonstrates credibility, and supports new business growth.

Lead 1r’s content and thought leadership strategy across LinkedIn, email, website, and other priority channels
Identify stories, insights, trends, and points of view worth bringing to market
Develop and/or oversee thought leadership content for 1r leadership, including ghostwriting and founder POV
Maintain a consistent and differentiated brand voice across channels
Guide the development of editorial content, campaign assets, downloadable resources, and other lead-generation content
Use performance insights to continuously improve content strategy and distribution
Build a consistent pipeline of compelling client stories, case studies, testimonials, and proof points
Identify strong stories within the work happening across 1r
Interview clients and internal teams to uncover insights, results, and narratives
Lead case studies from concept through publication, leveraging internal creative and marketing resources as appropriate
Develop systems for repurposing client successes across social, email, website, awards, and sales enablement
Lead the strategy and development of relevant industry award submissions
Develop and oversee integrated campaigns tied to business priorities, industry trends, and customer needs
Lead the strategy for 1r’s email marketing and nurture initiatives
Develop lead-generation opportunities including reports, guides, audits, webinars, and other valuable content
Partner with internal subject-matter experts to turn agency expertise into market-facing content
Develop campaign briefs and oversee execution across owned, social, email, website, and partner channels
Establish measurement frameworks and use performance data to optimize campaigns
Work closely with the Director of Business Development to turn 1r’s strategic partner relationships into meaningful marketing opportunities.
Develop the marketing strategy for priority technology and ecosystem partnerships
Identify and prioritize high-value co-marketing opportunities
Lead the development of joint webinars, content, campaigns, newsletter partnerships, and other activations
Collaborate with partner marketing teams on messaging, creative, promotion, and distribution
Establish repeatable processes for activating and measuring partner marketing opportunities
The Director of Business Development owns partner relationships and broader partnership strategy; the Fractional Director of Marketing owns the marketing strategy and activation of those relationships.
Develop the marketing strategy for priority conferences, industry events, webinars, and 1r-hosted experiences
Build pre-event, onsite, and post-event marketing plans
Lead webinar strategy and execution in partnership with clients, partners, and internal experts
Support the strategy and promotion of 1r-hosted dinners, networking events, and other experiences
Partner with Business Development on audience strategy, invitations, meeting generation, and follow-up
Measure event performance and identify opportunities to improve future programs
Guide ongoing marketing content and messaging across the 1r website
Identify opportunities for new landing pages, service content, case studies, and thought leadership
Partner with internal design and development resources to execute marketing-related website initiatives
Help evolve 1r’s positioning, messaging, and brand presentation as the business grows
Ensure new capabilities, client work, awards, and agency developments are reflected across relevant channels
Establish clear marketing processes, workflows, and priorities
Manage marketing projects across internal teams and external resources
Develop briefs, timelines, and accountability across initiatives
Maintain organized marketing assets, templates, and content libraries
Monitor performance across website, social, email, campaigns, and events
Develop regular reporting and insights for the VP of Growth & Marketing and agency leadership
Continuously identify opportunities to make 1r’s marketing more efficient, focused, and effective
You’re a versatile B2B marketer who is comfortable moving between strategy and execution. You can see the bigger picture, but you’re equally comfortable writing the copy, building the brief, coordinating a webinar, updating a landing page, or getting a campaign across the finish line.
Ideally, you have:
Has 3–5 years of hands-on marketing experience
Is an excellent writer and editor
Has experience creating content for LinkedIn, email, websites, and other digital channels
Can manage multiple marketing projects and deadlines at once
Is comfortable turning rough ideas into polished marketing
Has experience supporting campaigns, events, webinars, or partnerships
Is highly organized and proactive
Can work cross-functionally with leadership, business development, account teams, and subject-matter experts
Is comfortable working in a fast-moving agency environment
Has an interest in ecommerce, digital marketing, Shopify, and the broader commerce ecosystem
Is curious, resourceful, and willing to jump into whatever needs to get done
You don't need to be an expert in every channel. We're looking for someone with strong marketing fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly.
Naturally spot stories and marketing opportunities in the work happening around you
Can turn a loose idea into an executable campaign
Know how to make B2B marketing feel interesting rather than overly corporate
Have experience using AI tools to improve efficiency and accelerate day-to-day marketing work, from research and ideation to content creation and optimization.
Are a strong writer who can adapt to different voices and audiences
Can manage multiple stakeholders while keeping projects moving
Are comfortable building processes where they don't already exist
Understand how content, client proof, email, events, and campaigns work together to support growth
Enjoy being a hands-on generalist rather than specializing in a single marketing channel
