The Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST) is a national non-profit organization working to create an environment where girls, women and gender-diverse individuals in Canada can pursue their interests, education and careers in STEM without barriers. Position Overview
SCWIST is seeking a creative and strategic Marketing & Communications Coordinator to help amplify our voice and expand our impact. This role focuses on supporting the connection between our high-impact projects and the communities we serve. It is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative and passionate about storytelling and digital engagement.
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will support the leadership team in developing and executing the annual marketing and communications strategy, aligned with SCWIST's mission, vision and values. Working closely with project managers and senior leadership, this role will manage content across social media platforms, support brand consistency and help produce high-quality collateral in collaboration with graphic designers. The position also contributes to refining marketing workflows, communication channels and event promotion processes to increase efficiency and organizational reach. Additionally, the coordinator will develop and track key performance indicators, compile metrics to report on campaign effectiveness, maintain media contacts, support newsletter production, update the SCWIST website and collaborate with the events team to ensure all programming reinforces SCWIST's communications strategy.
