About the company
Our client is a fast-growing global HR and payroll platform that helps businesses hire and manage employees compliantly across 180+ regions. Their integrated suite covers Employer of Record services, global payroll, contractor management, benefits, and compliance - powering a borderless economy for companies of every size.
The Swiss legal entity is small and lean, and this role sits at the centre of how the company manages its Swiss compliance obligations while providing practical legal operations support across their wider EU footprint.
Role Mission
Provide hands-on legal operations support across multiple EU jurisdictions - handling day-to-day employment law queries, supporting contract drafting, and helping internal teams and clients navigate compliance. In Switzerland specifically, you'll act as the company's named Responsible Person under Swiss labour-leasing law (SECO), ensuring the entity remains fully compliant with local employment legislation and GAV requirements.
This is a hands-on, practical role - no full legal qualification required.
Key Responsibilities
EU Legal Operations
Support day-to-day employment law and compliance queries from clients and internal teams across multiple EU jurisdictions
Assist with drafting and reviewing standard employment contracts, offer letters, and mutual separation agreements

Research employment legislation across EU jurisdictions and translate requirements into clear, practical guidance for internal teams
Support disciplinary-related processes by preparing standard documentation
Liaise with employees and clients on legal and compliance queries, handling sensitive information with professionalism
Help coordinate ad hoc legal matters with external counsel across jurisdictions
Swiss Responsible Person (SECO)
Act as the named Responsible Person for the Swiss entity under Swiss labour-leasing law
Ensure compliance with Swiss labour-leasing legislation, employment law, and the staffing industry GAV (minimum wages, equal treatment)
Maintain documentation required for SECO and cantonal audits and inspections
Serve as the primary point of contact for SECO and cantonal authorities
Required Skills & Experience
Practical legal exposure of ~3 years - e.g. a law degree with an employment law focus, a paralegal or junior legal role, in-house legal support, or an employment law internship (a full legal qualification or Swiss bar admission is not required)
Exposure to contract drafting, advising on routine employment terms or policy questions, and assisting with compliance documentation
Comfort dealing directly with employees and clients on sensitive legal matters
Strong research skills with the ability to translate legislation into clear, practical guidance
High attention to detail and comfort with process-driven, repetitive compliance work
Self-starter mindset - comfortable with ambiguity, knows when to escalate and works independently
Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills
Right to work and physical presence in Switzerland (Swiss/EU citizenship, Permit B or C)
Nice to Have
German or French language skills (strongly preferred for SECO communication)
Exposure to employment law in other EU jurisdictions
Experience in a legal-ops or HR-tech environment
We're looking for someone who:
takes ownership of compliance processes and doesn't wait to be told what to do;
is genuinely comfortable being the named point of contact for Swiss authorities;
brings a builder mentality - looks for how to make processes better, not just maintain them;
handles sensitive legal information with discretion and professionalism;
is energetic, detail-oriented, and excited to grow their legal knowledge across jurisdictions.
