POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Holiday Inn Club Vacations Training Manager II serves as an enterprise learning consultant and program leader across all divisions. The role independently leads discovery and needs analysis, diagnoses performance gaps, recommends learning or non-learning solutions, and designs and facilitates instructor-led learning. The Training Manager II owns major initiatives, coaches training coordinators, department trainers, and leaders, and may direct project team members for assigned work. The position is based in Orlando and may travel up to 20% of the time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Performance Consulting and Stakeholder Partnership - Leads discovery and needs analysis with business partners across divisions. Diagnoses performance gaps and root causes and recommends learning or non-learning solutions aligned with business priorities. Builds trusted relationships, manages expectations, influences decisions, and guides implementation. Advises stakeholders on complex or ambiguous needs and adjusts recommendations as conditions change.
  • Learning Solution Design and Advanced Facilitation - Designs complete instructor-led learning solutions using adult learning and instructional design practices. Develops objectives, content, activities, assessments, facilitator resources, and participant materials, or partners with instructional designers based on the need. Facilitates complex or high-visibility learning in person and virtually and adapts content and delivery for the audience and business context.
  • Program and Project Leadership  - Owns major enterprise learning programs or initiatives from planning through implementation. Defines scope, success criteria, milestones, roles, communications, and implementation activities. Coordinates resources, manages risks and issues, makes decisions within assigned authority, and reports progress and results. Directs project team members based on program needs and may lead information sessions or executive briefings.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • No formal direct reports. Coaches training coordinators, department trainers, and leaders. May direct and review work completed by Training Manager I employees and project team members for assigned programs or initiatives. 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, learning and development, organizational development, human resources, hospitality, business, psychology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in learning and development, talent development, organizational development, performance consulting, human resources, hospitality, operations, or a related field, including application of adult learning principles.
  • Experience leading performance consultations and enterprise programs and designing and facilitating instructor-led learning solutions. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced knowledge of adult learning and facilitation practices and the ability to design and deliver learning for varied audiences and complex business needs

  • Ability to apply performance consulting, instructional design, project leadership, learning evaluation, and change enablement practices independently.

  • Ability to influence without formal authority, coach leaders and facilitators, and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize and lead multiple enterprise initiatives, navigate ambiguity, and exercise sound judgment within assigned authority.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, virtual meeting platforms, and learning management systems or similar learning technologies 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.  Will be required to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and operate office machinery.  Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds.  Specific work assignments may change without notice.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The majority of work will be performed from a designated remote location that may be climate controlled but may be exposed to inclement weather and varying degrees of temperature when travelling to designated locations connected with the job.

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:

Schedules will vary depending on business needs, and may entail working nights, weekends and holidays.  Must be flexible to work outside of departmental operating hours.
