Work is performed in an office environment; remote home office or at an Imperial Brady location. Candidates in the Eastern Standard Time zone preferred.

Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 annually. Salary range reflects the Jersey City, NJ market & compensation may vary based on geographic location.

The Learning & Development Manager leads the enterprise learning strategy and execution model for the organization. This role builds and manages a scalable L&D Center of Excellence that supports enterprise-wide learning priorities while enabling functional training owners to manage business-specific learning within their areas.

The L&D Manager partners closely with the HRIS team to ensure the LMS platform is configured to meet the needs of the business and a positive learner experience. The Manager will oversee general learning standards, learning architecture, content quality, assignments, and the enterprise learning calendar.

 

You will:

  • Assess and develop enterprise L&D strategy, annual learning calendar, governance and functional partnership model.
  • Build and lead a scalable L&D Center of Excellence that aligns learning programs and delivery to business priorities, culture and talent management objectives.
  • Lead and perform instructional design and establish standards for learning quality, learner experience, accessibility, and content governance.
  • Partner closely with functional training owners, business leaders and HR to identify learning needs, priorities and capability gaps.
  • Leverage AI effectively to support instructional design, content development, and learning operations.
  • Partner with the HRIS team on LMS strategy, learner experience, reporting requirements, and platform enhancements. HRIS owns LMS administration, configuration, integrations, security, and technical support.
  • Track enterprise L&D budget, outsourced training expenses and contracts.
  • Align with HRIS team and functional training owners to ensure visibility to total spend allocation to proper budget.
  • Establish metrics for learning effectiveness, adoption and business impact.
  • Support with communications to leadership.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, HR, Education, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive L&D experience with significant instructional design expertise.
  • Experience building learning strategies, frameworks, curricula, and learning programs in a complex organization.
  • Strong understanding of learning technologies, analytics and AI tools.
  • Ability to occasionally travel (less than 10%) for team meetings or training events.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Managing people, vendors and budgets.
  • Instructional Design Certification.
  • Dayforce LMS experience.

Additional Skills and Competencies:

  • Adept at translating learning needs to learning outcomes through analysis, design, technical expertise, and delivery.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership with ability to influence stakeholders and manage through change.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and results oriented.
