About Proximity Foundation

Proximity Foundation runs structured coding education programs for young people aged 14-18 at Community Care Institutions (CCIs). Using a computer-based LMS curriculum covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL, we pair students with volunteer mentors in cohort-based sessions designed to build real technical skills and lasting confidence.

We are scaling from the first cohort to many cohorts within Mumbai and building the operational team that will carry this program forward. Every role in Proximity Foundation is a direct investment in the young people we serve.

Time Commitment : 4-6 hrs/week

Department : Partnerships & Growth

Reports to : Operations Manager

ROLE FOCUS

Owns the end-to-end Fundraising & Partnership Tracks together — from identifying the right donor and CSR organizations to building and closing those relationships. Works hand-in-hand with the Comm & Outreach Lead to get the right materials produced, then takes those materials and executes the outreach and relationship-building work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee market research to identify and prioritize donor and CSR organizations
• Develop and lead the outreach strategy for all Fundraising & institutional partnership targets
• Build, manage, and grow a pipeline of donor and CSR relationships
• Represent Proximity Foundation in partner conversations, meetings, and negotiations
• Brief the Comm & Outreach Lead on what partnership materials are needed and when
• Manage and support the Market Research and Partnership Outreach sub-roles
• Report partnership pipeline progress and outcomes to the Operations Manager

WHAT A TYPICAL WEEK LOOKS LIKE

You will draft the F&P strategy and own the overall pipeline.
You will be coordinating and directing the team of volunteers (Fundraising, Partnership & Market Research) by reviewing trackers and keep it moving.

You will be leading on high-stakes prospects and outreach efforts.

You will report to Ops Manager and represent the F&P in team meetings.

Requirements

YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF -

1. You've worked in fundraising, BD, or partnerships - sector does not matter. However, CSR/NGO background is a plus !
2. You can hold two work-streams in your head without dropping either.
3. You are comfortable building from scratch - no perfect playbook exists yet.
4. You like coordinating people as much as doing the work yourself.
