Job Title: Lead Regional Coordinator

The Education Fund is a non-profit partnership between six Locals of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and 22 Healthcare Industry employers, serving the education and training needs of 100,000 eligible workers. Our mission is to empower our diverse healthcare workforce to advance in a changing environment through innovative education and training solutions. Our program and budget have doubled in scale over the last five years to provide career advancement and continuing education services to 20,000 learners annually, and we are positioned for continued growth with new partners and funding.
Principal Purpose of Job: Leads regional coordination for Education Fund services and programs, with emphasis on employer partnerships, job development, ROC program launch documentation, and bargaining support. Provides career and education coaching to learners pursuing advancement in healthcare. Collaborates across departments and with external partners to support program launches, outreach, budgets, reporting, presentations, and timely information flow.
Level of Authority: Works independently under the general direction of the Assistant Director of the ROC and in accordance with Education Fund policies and procedures. Leads regional workstreams, coordinates stakeholders, sets priorities, and uses sound judgment to determine when to resolve issues directly or consult with management.
Work Environment
Work is performed in an office or virtual environment, depending on location. Travel is required, up to 35%. The position attends or leads meetings with union staff, human resources representatives, employers, vendors, staff, learners, and other Education Fund collaborators in a fast-paced setting with frequent interruptions and competing priorities.
Lead Job Functions
Lead employer partnership job development by identifying workforce needs, supporting career pathway opportunities, and aligning regional programs with employer priorities.
Build, maintain, and continuously improve ROC program launch process documentation, including timelines, stakeholder roles, launch checklists, communication protocols, and decision points.
Develop and sustain assigned employer relationships by building trust, maintaining regular communication, identifying opportunities and risks, and coordinating internal follow-up.
Contribute to bargaining support by preparing decks, presentations, program information, and workforce insights, and by participating in strategy conversations as directed.
Support onboarding and training for newly hired Regional Coordinators by identifying shadowing and mentorship opportunities approved by the Assistant Director.
Communicate with the Assistant Director and department leaders to address team needs, resolve concerns, and support impactful ROC interactions.
Essential Job Functions
Incumbent must have the skill, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Project Management:
Coordinate regional work with multiple stakeholders to prioritize and execute Education Fund programs and services.
Create and monitor budgets for regional programs and services, including grant-funded opportunities.
Build stakeholder partnerships and drive outreach through tabling, facility visits, Member-to-Member activities, and related engagement.
Coach learners using certified methods to identify risks and develop successful education and career plans.
Manage multiple projects and priorities while taking initiative to meet or exceed deadlines.
Deliver customized training in collaboration with program and grants teams.
Data Management:
Ensure data quality for learners’ electronic files, including case notes, enrollments, Wrike, and Salesforce.
Own data processing validation and reporting for programs.
Organize and close enrollments, including completing sanctions, reporting outcomes, and rollovers.
Learner Service & Information Liaison:
Assist the Program Coordinator with provider research.
Communicate timely information across Education Fund departments and teams using platforms such as Slack, Zoom, and Wrike while managing multiple information streams and deadlines.
QualificationsQualifications and Capabilities
Multilingual skills are preferred.
Experience with project management concepts.
BA/BS degree required; consideration may be given to relevant job experience for internal candidates.
Workforce development experience in the healthcare labor market is necessary.
Technology savvy, with experience using database and project management applications such as Zoom, Salesforce, Wrike, and similar tools.
Strong judgment and decision-making skills, including knowing when to handle issues independently and when to consult with a manager.
Collaboration is a core value and skill set; ability to influence and lead teams and individuals across the organization and with employer partners.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly.
Strong data analysis skills are required.
Ability to work independently and as a team member in a labor-management partnership environment.
Must have a valid driver’s license, use of a vehicle, and maintain an appropriate level of car insurance.
