Labor & Employment Attorney

Scale LLP, a fully remote-work, national law firm, is looking for Labor & Employment specialists to join its growing national practice. Our firm is built for high-performing attorneys who want the freedom to shape and grow their practices, own their career path, and manage direct client relationships without the bureaucracy and overhead of traditional firms.

Growing our Labor & Employment Practice 

We’re looking for senior attorneys (7+ years and up) who advise clients both large and small on labor & employment compliance,  best practices, and litigation. Ideal experience includes: 

• Advising clients on municipal, state, and federal labor & employment laws.
• Preparing companies for financing rounds, mergers and acquisitions, and initial public offerings from the labor & employment lens.
• Representing clients in a variety of early-stage litigation matters, including claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, disability accommodation, wage-and-hour violations, etc.

You may be a perfect fit if:

• You’re currently advising local clients that have national labor & employment needs.
• You’d benefit from plugging into a national team to expand your practice.
• You have existing clients and a strong professional network, you are ready to grow your practice through BD efforts and by connecting with existing Scale client needs.

And if you have:

• At least seven years’ experience at a national or regional law firm.
• Graduated from a top-tier law school or be able to demonstrate an excellent and sustained reputation in the industry.
• An interest in autonomy over your own practice while also working with top-notch attorneys across our corporate, intellectual property, and litigation practice groups.  
• A desire to practice at a high level with interesting clients, benefitting from the support, network and brand of a firm while also enjoying solo economics.

Scale attorneys operate within a transparent, collections-based compensation model intentionally designed to align compensation with ownership and responsibility. Our model is designed to support sustainable, high-quality practices - without opaque formulas, partnership taxes, or unnecessary politics.

Partnership. To be considered for a lateral partnership, we ask that applicants be prepared to demonstrate a significant transferrable book of originations. Attorneys who have less are welcome to apply for a position as counsel.
