You will sit in their planning conferences, observe their exercises, teach their staffs the systems, and write the assessments that tell the National Guard Bureau how ready they are. This is a remote role with real travel, and you will be the National Guard Bureau's face in your region.

This is a remote position within the continental United States, performed under a Government-approved telework arrangement. You will be assigned to one region and are expected to live within it, both so that you can respond quickly to short-notice requests from the headquarters you support and so that visits can be grouped geographically to keep travel time and cost down. Travel is approximately 25 to 35 percent, concentrated in the spring and summer training season, and includes support visits to Joint Force Headquarters, exercises, exercise planning conferences, and regional training workshops. All travel is authorized in advance and reimbursed in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulation and published Government per diem rates.
