The Jira SME will be responsible for configuring and administering Jira projects, workflows, and permissions to align with business requirements. They will also provide subject-matter expertise, support integrations, and maintain governance standards across all project teams.

We are looking for an experienced Jira Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong hands-on experience in Jira administration, configuration, and customization. The ideal candidate should be capable of configuring Jira to support different types of projects, workflows, teams, and business requirements.
Requirements
Configure and administer Jira projects based on different project and business requirements.
Design and configure Jira workflows, issue types, screens, custom fields, schemes, permissions, and notifications.
Configure Jira for multiple project types and ensure the platform aligns with project delivery processes.
Work closely with project managers, technical teams, business stakeholders, and other teams to understand Jira requirements.
Customize Jira workflows and project configurations to improve project tracking and visibility.
Support Jira automation and integrations where required.
Troubleshoot Jira configuration, access, and project-related issues.
Maintain Jira standards, governance, and best practices across projects.
Provide subject-matter expertise and guidance to Jira users and project teams.
Support Jira enhancements, changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Document Jira configurations, workflows, processes, and administrative procedures.
Ensure Jira configurations support effective reporting, tracking, and overall project visibility.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Experience with Atlassian Cloud or Jira Data Center.
Experience with Jira integrations and APIs.
Knowledge of Confluence.
Experience with ScriptRunner / Groovy.
Experience supporting Jira migrations or implementations.
Experience working in large enterprise environments.

Remote – candidates can be located anywhere.
Must be able to work/cover Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours.
