Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a unique blend of Java Development, Power BI Analytics, Payments Domain expertise, and Generative AI exposure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing enterprise-grade applications, building business intelligence solutions, and driving data-driven decision-making within payment processing ecosystems.
The candidate should be comfortable working across application development, reporting & analytics, and AI-assisted engineering initiatives. Recent internal initiatives have included AI-assisted development productivity, reporting modernisation, and payments-related transformation programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical models for business and operational reporting.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements.
- Build data integration solutions between transactional systems, databases, and reporting platforms.
- Develop reusable data models and KPIs for operational and executive reporting.
- Work on payment processing applications, transaction reporting, settlement, reconciliation, and operational analytics.
- Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Leverage GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to improve development productivity, documentation, reporting automation, and code quality. AI-assisted engineering and reporting initiatives are actively being adopted across BFSI/FIS programmes.
- Support Agile delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
Mandatory Skills
Java Development
- 5–10 years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Java 8+
- Spring Boot
- Microservices
- REST APIs
- SQL
- Git
- Maven/Gradle
- CI/CD pipelines
Power BI
- Strong expertise in:
- Power BI Dashboard Development
- DAX
- Power Query
- Data Modelling
- Report Optimization
- Data Visualization Best Practices
- Experience integrating Power BI with SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Azure, or similar platforms.
Payments Domain (Mandatory)
Candidate must possess strong functional understanding of:
- Payments Processing
- Cards & Payments
- Payment Gateways
- Merchant Acquiring
- Settlement & Reconciliation
- SWIFT / Wire Transfers
- ACH / SEPA / RTP
- Transaction Lifecycle Management
- Banking & Financial Services Operations
GenAI Skills (Mandatory)
Hands-on experience using GenAI tools for:
- Code Generation
- Code Review
- Documentation Generation
- Report Development Assistance
- Data Analysis & Insights Generation
- Test Case Creation
- Productivity Improvement
Candidates with certifications, training, or practical implementation experience in GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, AI-Assisted Engineering, Prompt Engineering, RAG, or GenAI solutions will be preferred. Internal BFSI programmes are actively driving AI-assisted engineering and reporting transformation initiatives
