As Ardonagh's international operations continue to expand, we're strengthening our tax governance, reporting processes and controls across the Group. This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional to play a key role in transforming our international tax reporting framework, supporting large-scale systems implementation projects and contributing to critical compliance initiatives including Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and Pillar Two.
Reporting to the International Tax Controller, you'll work closely with finance and tax teams across multiple jurisdictions, supporting the delivery of high-quality tax reporting and compliance processes while driving continuous improvement and automation.
This role combines technical tax expertise with project and transformation work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of tax, finance, systems and process improvement.
You'll support the end-to-end tax reporting cycle, review tax provisioning data from international entities, contribute to global compliance obligations and help embed new reporting processes and technologies across the organisation.
Support the planning and coordination of each tax reporting cycle, including testing internal reporting templates and validating data requirements before distribution to stakeholders.
Review tax provisioning computations within local tax reporting packs for low and medium-risk entities, ensuring tax positions are accurately reflected and posted within local ledgers.
Identify, investigate and resolve issues arising from local tax provisions and tax status questionnaires.
Support the preparation of group-level tax reporting adjustments, including deferred tax asset recognition, late profit-before-tax movements and uncertain tax positions under IFRIC 23.
Prepare and maintain rolling tax summaries and supporting tax memoranda, ensuring key tax positions, risks and developments are appropriately documented.
Prepare the Group's Country-by-Country Report (CbCR).
Coordinate with external advisors on public CbC reporting requirements in relevant jurisdictions, including the EU and Australia.
Analyse jurisdictional tax positions for Transitional CbCR Safe Harbour and Pillar Two purposes.
Support the preparation of Pillar Two reporting and compliance obligations.
Play a key role in the implementation, testing and enhancement of tax reporting systems and processes.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and process improvements associated with Pillar Two reporting solutions.
Drive improvements in existing Excel-based reporting tools and contribute to broader tax transformation initiatives.
Help maintain high-quality tax data and reporting consistency across the Group.
Act as a key point of contact for local finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
Work closely with outsourced providers, local finance teams and the wider Group Tax function to ensure reporting and compliance requirements are met.
Support responses to external audit queries relating to tax matters within the Group accounts.
Operate key internal controls within the tax reporting process and maintain supporting documentation in line with ICFR requirements.
Assist with annual updates to tax reporting manuals, training materials and process documentation.
Support ad hoc tax projects and initiatives as required.
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented tax professional who thrives in a collaborative international environment and enjoys driving process improvement.
✅ Professional accounting or tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent)
✅ Strong understanding of IFRS accounting
✅ Advanced Excel skills
✅ Experience supporting tax systems implementation, transformation projects or tax data management initiatives
✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
⭐ Experience using Alteryx
⭐ Familiarity with Tagetik and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
⭐ Previous experience in Group Tax reporting
⭐ Knowledge of Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and/or Pillar Two requirements
A flexible and adaptable approach in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Confidence building relationships across international teams.
A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for process and systems enhancement.
This is an opportunity to join a growing international business at a pivotal stage of its tax transformation journey. You'll gain exposure to complex global tax reporting requirements, work with senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions and play a meaningful role in shaping future tax reporting processes and technology solutions.
If you're looking to combine technical tax expertise with transformation, systems and international stakeholder engagement, we'd love to hear from you.
