International Rate Specialist (Remote)

Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. PT

We are seeking an experienced International Rates Specialist to join our travel operations team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Sabre GDS, airline fare rules, ticket exchanges, refunds, and tariff interpretation. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate ticket issuance and providing expert support to travel consultants and customers.

What You'll Do

• Issue, reissue, and void airline tickets through Sabre GDS.
• Process voluntary and involuntary ticket exchanges according to airline policies and fare rules.
• Handle ticket refunds and ensure compliance with carrier regulations.
• Interpret and apply complex airline fare rules, tariffs, penalties, and restrictions.
• Calculate additional collections, residual values, refund amounts, based on customer travel policy.
• Review and resolve ticketing discrepancies and audit findings.
• Support travel consultants with fare construction, routing validation, and ticketing-related inquiries.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all ticketing transactions.
• Stay current on airline policies, industry regulations, and GDS updates.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards.

What You'll Bring

• Experience functioning in high volume situations 

• Demonstrated competency in MS Excel 

• Excellent time-management and organization skills 

• Knowledge of GDS Sabre

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of International Rate Specialist is between $55,000 and $63,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location. 

This position requires flexibility regarding work schedules. Assignments may include day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as determined by business needs. While the company will comply with applicable laws regarding reasonable accommodations, candidates should understand that preferred schedules and ongoing shift modifications may not be available.
