The Inside Sales Representative will manage the complete sales process for an assigned portfolio, engaging customers through virtual channels to achieve revenue and growth targets. They will collaborate with field sales and cross-functional teams to identify new business opportunities and ensure an excellent customer experience.
We are looking for a commercially driven and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support the continued growth of our Water Quality and Hydrology business.
In this role, you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding sales targets by engaging existing and prospective customers through telephone, email, video conferencing, campaigns, and other virtual sales channels. You will manage the complete sales process for an assigned customer portfolio, identify new business opportunities, strengthen existing customer relationships, and work closely with field sales and cross-functional teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
The successful candidate will use the tools and methodologies of the Veralto Enterprise System (VES) to solve problems, improve processes, manage performance, and contribute to the achievement of key business objectives.
· Achieve and exceed assigned revenue, bookings, and growth targets through proactive virtual customer engagement and lead management
· Conduct outbound customer outreach, including telephone prospecting, cold calling, email campaigns, and follow-up activities.
· Manage the complete sales process for an assigned customer portfolio, from lead qualification and opportunity development through quotation, order placement, and payment collection.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to retain, regain, and expand business.
· Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries regarding products, solutions, quotations, availability, and commercial terms.
· Use value-based selling techniques to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
· Work closely with field sales representatives to develop accounts, qualify opportunities, and execute territory growth strategies.
· Own and actively manage the sales funnel and customer activities in Salesforce.com or the relevant CRM platform.
· Maintain accurate opportunity information and prepare reliable 30-, 60-, and 90-day sales forecasts.
· Monitor territory performance using relevant sales KPIs and participate in daily management and visual management routines.
· Execute marketing campaigns, promotions, customer outreach programs, and other demand-generation activities.
· Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and changing customer requirements.
· Coordinate with finance, customer service, supply chain, and logistics teams to support order processing and ensure timely shipment to customers.
· Follow up with customers to secure timely payment and resolve outstanding commercial matters.
· Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
· Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrology, or a related technical discipline.
· At least 2–3 years of experience in inside sales, technical sales, customer service, laboratory sales, industrial sales, or a comparable customer-facing role.
· Experience in water quality, hydrology, wastewater, municipal water, environmental monitoring, laboratory instrumentation, or industrial markets is strongly preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to achieve sales growth and manage revenue targets.
· Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.com, is an advantage.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
· Additional local language capabilities may be required depending on the territory.
· Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
· Customer-focused, proactive, action-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership.
· Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills.
· Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-moving and continuously changing environment.
