About the Role

Plane is seeking a hands-on DevOps Support & Testing Engineer to ensure seamless operations across our Cloud and Self-Hosted Kubernetes-based infrastructure environments. You'll bridge engineering and community support, handling Discord channels and GitHub issues with technical precision and clear communication.

What you will do?

  • Provide Tier-2 support for infrastructure issues involving Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and related container technologies.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve deployment, scaling, and performance problems in production environments.

  • Triage and respond to community-reported issues on Discord and GitHub with detailed, actionable guidance.

  • Conduct end-to-end testing of infrastructure changes, including CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.

  • Document support resolutions, create runbooks, and contribute to internal knowledge base.

  • Collaborate with engineering on infra improvements and participate in on-call rotations.

What you'd need to bring:

  • Must have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker (deployments, pods, services, Helm charts).

  • Familiarity with cloud infra (AWS/GCP preferred) and related tools (Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana).

  • Proven ability to handle technical support via Discord/GitHub with excellent written communication.

  • Experience in testing methodologies for infra (load testing, chaos engineering a plus).

  • Scripting proficiency (Python/Bash/Go) for automation and troubleshooting.

  • Comfortable in fast-paced SaaS environments with remote collaboration (Slack, GitHub).

Nice-to-Haves

  • Open-source contributions or community support experience.

  • Exposure to SOC2/ISO compliance workflows.

  • Familiarity with Plane's tech stack (React, Rust, Postgres, Next.js).
