Who we are looking for:

As an Infrastructure Lead for AutoCanada’s Collision Centres & Hail Department (ACX), you will take hands-on, senior-level ownership of identity, infrastructure, and network architecture across ACX’s growing fleet, while also acting as the day-to-day technical lead. This role goes beyond day-to-day operations: you will help shape how ACX manages identity, accounts, and devices as our Microsoft 365 environment evolves, support a Microsoft 365 tenant migration, and help evaluate and define the long-term direction for our network equipment and platform standards. You will succeed in this role if you are a technically strong, detail-oriented self-starter who is just as comfortable troubleshooting a live issue as stepping back to design the roadmap for where our environment is headed. Someone who enjoys coordinating and guiding team members through complex projects. You will bring deep networking, identity, and infrastructure expertise, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and enjoy building resilient systems that keep a distributed, multi-site organization running.

What you will do

• Own the day-to-day management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure (SD-WAN, firewalls, switches, wireless) across all ACX store locations.
• Evaluate ACX’s network architecture on an ongoing basis and help define equipment and platform standards, making recommendations on network equipment and platforms as ACX continues to grow.
• Lead network and infrastructure rollouts for new and newly acquired collision centre locations, from site design through go-live, coordinating the work of team members involved in each rollout.
• Provide hands-on ownership of endpoint detection & response (EDR) tooling, backup and disaster recovery systems, and core network security.
• Manage and maintain server infrastructure, both physical and virtual, including Windows Server environments, Active Directory (AD), and DNS, supporting store and back-office systems.
• Administer and maintain ACX’s Microsoft 365 (M365) environment, including user account provisioning, licensing, and ongoing tenant maintenance, as well as cloud-based services, storage, and connectivity between cloud and on-prem systems.
• Own the long-term direction for how ACX manages users, groups, and devices across our Microsoft 365 and Active Directory environment — including automating device deployment and provisioning (e.g., Windows Autopilot) and applying modern, cloud-based device configuration approaches (e.g., Microsoft Intune) alongside traditional Group Policy.
• Plan and execute the migration of newly acquired locations’ users, mailboxes, and shared resources into ACX’s Microsoft 365 environment as part of onboarding new stores.
• Understand how identity security — MFA, Conditional Access, and related controls — integrates with account and device management, and help strengthen that posture across ACX.
• Provide day-to-day technical direction to team members — prioritizing and assigning work across site rollouts, tickets, and projects — and act as the senior technical escalation point for complex issues.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures for infrastructure across all sites, and partner with managed field-service and security partners to coordinate coverage and incident response.
• Some travel may be involved.

What you bring to the table

• Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in network and infrastructure roles, with demonstrated senior-level, hands-on ownership.
• Related post-secondary education and industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Security+ or equivalent).
• Strong working knowledge of SD-WAN, firewall administration (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, or similar), and multi-site network design.
• Experience evaluating network architecture and equipment standards, and making platform recommendations, for a growing, multi-site organization.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows Server administration (physical and virtual), Active Directory (AD), DNS, and Microsoft 365 (M365) tenant administration and account maintenance.
• Experience migrating users, mailboxes, and resources between Microsoft 365 tenants (e.g., as part of an acquisition or onboarding a new location) considered a strong asset.
• Experience with (or strong familiarity with) Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Intune, and Windows Autopilot — including deploying cloud-based device configuration policies as an alternative to traditional Group Policy Objects (GPOs) — considered a strong asset.
• Understanding of how identity security — MFA, Conditional Access, and related controls — integrates with user and device management.
• Experience with endpoint detection & response (EDR), backup/disaster recovery, and general cybersecurity best practices.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical direction, coordination, or mentorship to team members, with the ability to guide a team through complex, concurrent projects.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Self-starter capable of working independently and leading multiple site projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with automotive or collision repair operations considered an asset.
