Principal Software Engineer

Currently, we are seeking a Principal Software Engineer with strong English skills to join our team. Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for: 

Position Title: Principal Software Engineer 

Location: LATAM (Remote)

What you will be doing: 

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, designing, and implementing solutions for the company, serving as an advocate for engineering decisions. In this role, you will act as a primary technical leader who bridges executive vision with engineering execution. You will translate complex business needs and operational roadmap targets (such as Digital Twin implementations and Autonomous Execution frameworks) into actionable software architecture across Python, SQL, Go, and AI automation. You will interface with business leaders, lead product/service development initiatives, and work directly with IT and Transportation Management platform teams. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Solutions Engineering. 

Required Skills & Experience: 

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or Related Engineering. 

• 7+ years of experience working in a corporate engineering or software development environment. 

• Proven track record planning and implementing engineering, analytics, and relationship development. 

• Strong experience with Python and SQL, alongside proficiency in core software engineering tools. 

• Optimization & Modeling: Hands-on experience with Optimization Algorithms, Linear Programming, and cross-partition optimization models. 

• Supply Chain Engineering: Experience with Supply Chain modeling platforms such as

Supply Chain Guru, Llama.ai, NextMV, Gains, Sophus, Starboard, Optilogic, or TMOD.

• AI & Machine Learning: Direct experience with ML Algorithms and Building AI-Native Applications / Model Context Protocol (MCP). 

• Experience with test-driven development (TDD). 

• Ability to conduct software reviews and status updates with executive leadership.

• Ability to run project meetings covering requirements gathering and architectural design.

• High adaptability and ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced atmosphere. 

Nice to Have Skills 

• 10+ years of experience working in corporate engineering or Supply Chain consulting environments. 

• Deep, well-rounded domain knowledge in Supply Chain Engineering, Software Engineering, Data, and Platforms Engineering. 

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. 

• Experience with Go/Golang. 

Soft Skills:

• Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and take end-to-end ownership of projects. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders. 

• Exceptional ability to work autonomously.
