The Role:

The Director of HRIS is a strategic and operational leader responsible for the vision, governance, and continuous optimization of the organization's HR technology infrastructure. This role ensures that HR technology platforms are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with the organization's people strategy and business objectives.

In This Role, You Will:

  • HR Tech Strategy & Roadmap:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive HRIS strategy and technology roadmap to organizational priorities
    • Evaluate, recommend, and implement HR technology solutions and prioritize system investments, integrations, and enhancements
    • Govern system configuration standards to ensure consistency across business units, locations, and employee populations

 

  • System Administration & Optimization:
    • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and day-to-day administration of all systems
    • Lead system upgrades, new module implementations, and technology migrations with minimal operational disruption
    • Identify and drive process improvements, include the use of AI, to reduce manual effort, increase data accuracy, and improve user experience, ensuring scalability as the organization evolves

 

  • Data Integrity, Reporting & Analytics:
    • Establish and maintain data governance standards across all HR platforms, including AI governance.
    • Identify and implement ways to use AI across HR tasks to analyze employee feedback faster and surface insights that strengthen the HR strategy
    • Lead development of advanced workforce analytics.

 

  • Compliance & Data Security:
    • Ensure all HR systems and data practices comply with applicable regulations
    • Partner with IT Security and Legal to maintain data privacy, access controls, and system security protocols
    • Maintain audit trails and documentation required for compliance reporting

 

  • Project & Vendor Management:
    • Lead and manage HRIS-related projects from scoping and planning through execution and post-launch optimization
    • Coordinate cross-functional project teams including HR, IT, Finance, and external consultants

 

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Training:
    • Develop and deliver end-user training programs, system documentation, and self-service resources for HR and team members
    • Proactively gather stakeholder feedback and partner with HR Business Partners to identify pain points and system enhancements improving user satisfaction

What You Bring:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field
    • 7+ years of progressive HRIS experience
    • Hands-on experience with enterprise HR platforms, including upgrades and system migrations
    • Proficiency in HR data reporting, analytics tools, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets
    • Working knowledge of HR-related compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, EEO, FLSA)
    • Prior experience in high-growth, multi-state organization
    • Dayforce experience preferred
