HRIS Data Consultant - Payroll & HR

As an HRIS & Payroll Consultant, you will be part of Silver Cloud's Client Transformation Team, partnering with clients to deliver HR and payroll technology projects, including system selection, implementation, optimisation, digital reviews and transformation programmes.

You will act as a trusted advisor to HR, Payroll and business leaders, helping organisations improve processes, select and implement technology, and realise value from their people systems. A key aspect of the role will be supporting clients with data readiness, data migration and transformation activities, ensuring workforce data is fit for purpose and supports successful project outcomes.

This is a hands-on consulting role suited to a client-focused and commercially minded professional who combines strong HR and/or payroll technology expertise with practical experience of data migration and transformation. You will work across multiple systems and industries, supporting clients through a variety of transformation initiatives while developing your consulting, project delivery and data capabilities.

• Consultancy experience within HR technology, payroll, HRIS or business transformation.
• Demonstrable experience supporting HR and/or payroll system projects.
• Strong understanding of HR and payroll processes and associated operational challenges.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll or workforce management solutions such as Dayforce, HiBob, Workday, SuccessFactors, Cezanne, UKG or similar.
• Experience supporting data migration, data cleansing, reconciliation or transformation activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and priorities simultaneously.
• Commercially aware, proactive and solution-oriented approach.
• Comfortable working in a flexible consulting environment.

• Building trusted relationships with HR, Payroll and business stakeholders, becoming a credible adviser throughout their technology and transformation journey.
• Delivering high-quality HRIS and payroll projects across system selection, implementation, optimisation and digital transformation.
• Helping clients understand the quality and readiness of their workforce data, clearly identifying gaps, risks and actions required before migration.
• Producing accurate and well-maintained data mapping, cleansing, validation and reconciliation outputs that support successful system implementations.
• Working effectively with clients, software vendors and implementation partners to ensure data requirements are understood, tracked and delivered.
• Proactively identifying and resolving data-related issues before they affect project timelines, testing or go-live readiness.
• Managing multiple client priorities while maintaining strong governance, clear communication and complete project documentation.
• Supporting successful testing, adoption and transition into business as usual, ensuring clients are confident in both their systems and their data.
• Contributing to the development of Silver Cloud’s data migration tools, templates and delivery methodologies.
• Identifying opportunities to add further value to clients and contributing to proposals, thought leadership and the continued growth of the Client Transformation practice.
• Demonstrating Silver Cloud’s values by being collaborative, adaptable, proactive and focused on delivering outcomes that genuinely make a difference.

Consulting & Project Delivery

• Lead and support HR and payroll technology projects, including system selection, implementation, optimisation and transformation engagements.
• Facilitate discovery workshops, requirements gathering sessions and process review activities.
• Work with clients to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology enablement.
• Support solution evaluation, vendor selection and implementation planning activities.
• Manage project governance including plans, RAID logs, status reporting and stakeholder communications.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, software vendors and delivery partners.
• Support testing, training, adoption and transition-to-business-as-usual activities.

 
Data Transformation & Migration

• Support data migration and transformation workstreams across HRIS and payroll projects.
• Conduct data quality and readiness assessments.
• Assist clients in cleansing, validating and preparing data for migration.
• Develop and maintain data mapping documentation between legacy and target systems.
• Support migration testing, validation and reconciliation activities.
• Work with implementation partners to ensure data requirements are understood and delivered successfully.
• Help identify and mitigate data-related risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Practice Development

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Silver Cloud's consulting methodologies, tools and templates.
• Support the development of data migration and implementation accelerators.
• Contribute to client proposals, webinars, thought leadership and case studies.
• Identify opportunities to add value and support clients beyond the immediate project scope.
