Perform high-level diagnostics, maintenance, and complex installations of heavy-duty material processing and recycling equipment across a designated territory. Troubleshoot intricate electrical and hydraulic systems while submitting accurate service and warranty reports.

Staffinity is currently seeking an autonomous Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to join a leading national industrial machinery dealership. Based remotely within the province of Quebec, you will independently service, maintain, and install a premium line of heavy-duty material processing and recycling equipment.

Because our central corporate parts and dispatch hub is located out-of-province, this role requires a highly reliable self-starter who excels with minimal daily supervision. The service territory covers the Gatineau to Quebec City Metropolitan corridor, with occasional overnight travel required depending on the job site location.

Responsibilities:

  • Field Service & Maintenance: Perform high-level diagnostics, inspections, routine maintenance, and complex installations on large-scale mobile industrial machinery across the designated territory.

  • Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot intricate electrical and hydraulic systems to identify malfunctions and execute efficient, high-quality repairs on-site at quarries, recycling facilities, and heavy commercial yards.

  • Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical bulletins to resolve mechanical issues safely.

  • Reporting: Generate and submit accurate service, maintenance, and warranty reports in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company policies, occupational health and safety regulations, and site-specific protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on technical experience working with heavy equipment. Open to unlicensed mechanical experts; a formal provincial ticket or Red Seal certification is not required.

  • Technical Skills: Proven competency in troubleshooting heavy-duty hydraulics and electrical systems. Ability to read complex technical drawings and schematics is mandatory.

  • Autonomy:阁 Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision while maintaining strong communication with an out-of-province regional manager.

  • Licensing: Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean driving record (abstract required).

  • Computer Skills: Good digital proficiency for submitting service reports and accessing technical data.

  • Tools: Must own a personal set of standard hand tools (specialized large air tools are provided by the employer).
