The Healthcare Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining patient, insurance, and claims information within healthcare systems. They must also review source documents for completeness, identify data discrepancies, and ensure all tasks comply with HIPAA privacy regulations.
Raventra Health is a medical services company providing outsourced billing, coding, and claims processing solutions for provider groups and hospitals. As a Healthcare Data Entry Specialist, you will accurately enter, update, and maintain patient, insurance, provider, and claims information across healthcare systems. Your attention to detail will help ensure accurate data flows across Raventra’s billing, coding, claims, and revenue cycle operations.
Enter and update patient, insurance, provider, and claim information in healthcare systems
Review source documents to ensure information is complete and accurately entered
Verify data for accuracy and identify missing, inconsistent, or duplicate information
Update account and insurance information based on documentation received from provider clients
Enter claim-related information and supporting data according to established procedures
Research and correct data entry errors and discrepancies
Maintain accurate records and follow established data management procedures
Support billing, coding, claims, and administrative teams with data-related tasks
Handle protected health information in accordance with HIPAA and company privacy procedures
Meet productivity and quality expectations while maintaining a high level of accuracy
1+ year of experience in data entry, healthcare administration, medical billing, or a related role
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors and inconsistencies
Experience entering and maintaining information in electronic systems
Basic understanding of medical terminology, insurance information, or healthcare documentation
Strong typing and computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain consistent data quality
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage repetitive tasks accurately
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment
HIPAA-compliant private workspace
Experience with Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, or another healthcare system
Medical billing or claims processing experience
Knowledge of insurance terminology and healthcare revenue cycle processes
Experience working with provider groups or hospitals
Experience handling large volumes of healthcare data
