Health Plan Specialist (Remote)

Pay: $21.00/hour

Schedule: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced customer service professionals to join our team as a Health Plan Specialist. In this role, you will assist members with questions related to health plan benefits, billing, enrollment, coverage, and account-related inquiries.

This is a high-volume inbound call center position supporting members during the Open Enrollment season. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to resolve complex issues while delivering an excellent member experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle approximately 50-70 inbound calls per day
• Assist members with benefits, billing, enrollment, and coverage-related questions
• Research and resolve customer concerns from start to finish
• Accurately document all customer interactions and resolutions
• Navigate multiple applications and systems simultaneously
• Utilize available tools and resources to provide accurate information
• Maintain ownership of member issues through resolution
• Deliver professional, empathetic, and high-quality customer service
• Collaborate with team members to support customer needs and service goals

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 2 years of call center experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask across multiple screens and applications
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service experience within the health insurance industry
• Experience supporting Medicare and/or Medicaid members
• Knowledge of benefits, enrollment, billing, or claims processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in a high-volume inbound contact center environment

This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
